Do it. Fuck the haters. It's your stuff, do what you want with it. You don't have to justify it to anyone but yourself; make yourself happy. Just make sure it's done properly.

I'm going to admit publicly to doing something some would consider sacrilege - I've used expensive whiskey/bourbon for mixed drinks at home. I really don't drink any more because of medication, but when I did I noticed that the higher quality booze made for a much, much more enjoyable end product. I honestly don't give a fuck; I paid for the stuff, and I get to decide what to do with it.

Oh, I'd almost forgotten about he "Nyet, rifle is fine" crowd. Don't get me started - I have a friend who was super into AKs at one time, and he wanted to run an EOTech. The way some folks reacted would have been utterly hilarious if it wasn't so sad.
