With no further verification he made that connection to a national television audience. He was sanctioned for that, maybe a month or so without pay IIRC, but was allowed to come back to work. The cynical among us will say that he's just going to do the same kind of things wherever he goes, but he will not. It doesn't matter if the guy no longer has a moral compass or any integrity as a supposed journalist. No, he won't do the same kind of things because his behavior has really cost him, both in terms of his reputation and his employment status. I'm perfectly fine with him cooling his shit only because he fears the consequences, and nothing to do with integrity. I am perfectly fine with that.
