Hope you’re all doing better. It’s my turn to host COVID for a little while. I’m on day two of symptoms, worst body aches ever and a low grade fever of 99-100° that comes and goes. The body aches go away if I can get myself to sweat with blankets and a heating pad. I don’t know the mechanism there but I’ll take it. Now I’ve got to go shovel the car out of the ice. This is going to suck.

Edit - shoveling snow wasn’t too bad. I am in between body aches and hopefully got enough out and the salt will melt enough of the underlying ice.

Day 8 for me. Sore throat went away and I thought I was done but the fever returned. I seem to be on the same path as my son since he’s the jerk that gave it to me. If I’m on his timeline exactly, I should be clear by next Tuesday.

Strangely, my breathing is better than ever. I was developing a breathing rattle again but this cleared it out. Pulseox meter reads a little low on oxygen saturation but really high on pulse rate. It gets above 100 at rest sometimes.

Seems non-existent. No explanation. Even heavily blowing my nose is ok.

Mrs. Angus had COVID for the first time 3 weeks ago. She had sore throat, headache, stuffy nose, and fatigue. It only lasted about 5 days.

We took no real precautions and I never caught it. I really don't think it's as contagious as they report.

Well, I do take at least an extra shower daily because it’s soothing to any aches and helps cough up the nasty mucus. That could be the reason. An extra shot of humidity.

I’m hoping that since I’m considerably healthier than the boy that I will get over this a few days earlier.

After my son tested negative on Monday he was allowed to return to work. He checks his BP at work daily. He was dizzy and his BP was 86/60. It remained low upon returning home so his nephrologist suggested dropping his one medication (procardia). It didn’t help so his PCP called to check on him and suggested we also drop the Losartan but only for one day.

I keep thinking positive things like “what if this coronavirus actually helped him with the kidney disease and he won’t have to take 15 pills every day.” That would be cool.

Web-MD NAC Report

Get to a GNC type supplement store and pick up some NAC, this will help with the respiratory issues, clears up the lungs, lots of reports of folks with COVID using it.

I have bronchitis that kicks up bad once or twice a year, started taking NAC daily and it's helped

As far as we know me and the wife have not had it yet and both are Pfizer vaccinated with the booster too, but she works at a larger hopital and says a bunch of people come in for other stuff and they test positive and were surprised so it sounds like a lot of people never realized they had it. She also said that those that have had the vaccine have a much lower rate of severe symptoms than those who have not. My oncologist said he knew a few people that had it and described their symptoms as a three day cold.

I do check my temperature and O2 level daily. I have been taking vitamin supplmenets for years including Centrum Silver for men which also has zinc and additional 2000IU vitamin D3 pill. Additional recent studies showing that vitamin D deficiency correlates with those having more severe reactions to Covid 19 infection.

I pray everyone and their families survives this mess with minimal adversity. As always when in doubt get it checked out by medical professionals without delay and keep in close touch with more vulnerable family members and loved ones.

I drew the short straw this week, too. My kids had it a few weeks ago - first few days were rough, but they were fine after about three days.

I’m guessing I picked it up from a student at school. Had the scratchy throat, slight headache, runny nose (not uncommon for me with allergies) and the usual aches and pains with being in my 50s. Was getting ready for school yesterday and something just seemed “off” with my body. Took a test and it couldn’t show positive fast enough.

So, home I am. Fever is up and down, so blankets, Tylenol and a ton of water. Basically feels like a nasty cold.

I was bummed because my best friend is losing his battle with cancer and is getting Hospice at his home. He said I can still come see him…not like I’m going to kill him or anything. Love that he still has his twisted humor.

There is no doubt that some people that have been “vaccinated” appear to have less severe symptoms. A close coworker got it from me and had a very mild reaction. On the other hand, my BIL who got the snake oil and has been boosted got it from an exclusively “vaccinated” get together. His reaction was strong enough to send him to the hospital for monoclonal antibody treatment.

The real question as I have stated before is with the myriad of adverse reactions we have seen, and have seen intentionally ignored and kept out of the news, what will we see down the road over time? We already know that there is an significant increase in heart related illnesses and a loss of immunity after a very short time as opposed to those that have recovered and enjoy a bulletproof natural immunity. These are absolute facts. I do not know of a single person that has beaten the wuflu naturally that has gotten it again- unless of course they have and never knew it because their bodies beat even more effectively the second time around.

I am absolutely without fear of this bug thanks to actual science (ie- natural immunity). I’d love to challenge Fauci, or anyone else that got the “vaccine” to take a stroll with me through a Covid ward maskless. I’ll bet that I emerge unscathed while they get infected. Again.

We must challenge this shit being referred to as a “vaccine”. It is ANYTHING BUT.

I got Covid on 1/30 while I was in California. Woke up felt woozie sore throat cough feverish thought process was foggy. Not sure how I got it I always wear a mask have extremely little contact with anyone have basically been quarantined for years as a truck driver. Had to deliver a Load in Palo Alto get reloaded and drive back to Texas thru the storm that brought all that snow and ice. Got home it took 5 days every day felt better and better felt fine except sore throat and cough did a home covid test was positive. Went on line scheduled a PCR lab test thru Walgreens it was positive even though I felt fine. Have quarantined for 8 days now (CDC says 5 days and with no symptoms can return to work but still wear mask). I would like to test negative before I return to work. I just received my 4 home tests from government and will remain quarantined and on Monday will do another home test

I would never use one of those chicom test's. I do not know why anyone would at this point. Do you really trust them after all we have been through? Where is your common sense?

Doesn't mean they don't work. I would prefer to use another but you use what you can get. I don't know how this a question of common sense.

Then you are not thinking it through, or are too dense to understand. Sorry if that is a bit harsh. But the truth can sting at times.

It’s because masks do not stop the spread of Covid. They are a confidence trick. In fact, unless it is a fit tested respirator, no mask is a guarantee of anything. Just about every mask you see on faces are either worthless as an actual barrier, or poorly fit as to provide almost no protection whatsoever. As for not being around anyone, it’s untreated surfaces that will get you. Covid can live on a variety of surface types for hours to days.

Old Rugged Cross.

I would appreciate it if you could a little more direct with your commentary in the future. Big Grin

The Chinese test kits are not reliable - but in many cases that is all that is available. I have seen someone test negative 2x and positive 1x in a 36-hour period with home tests.
