^^^^ Then I will say that they were lucky to have gotten the mild version. It came very close to killing me.

Severe breathing problems, with significant cardiac issues to follow, requiring two in-hospital procedures.

I'm generally healthy and in my mid 50s. The problem with this disease is not that it kills so many people, it is that it is an unpredictable killer, and when it comes on, it comes on fast. I went from slightly sore throat to nearly incapacitated in 12 hours.

Agreed. I went heavy on vitamins, daytime & nighttime cold & Flu, and mucinex.

Consider adding Quercetin as additional prophylaxis. I take THIS ONE because I have been told that Phytosomal Quercetin is significantly more bioavailable than the regular stuff.

Good Luck!

ETA HERE is a study that supports my assertion.

Thanks, I’ll look into it.

The wife seems to be back to normal. The boy responds to Tylenol, it completely takes the fever away. He coughs a little, not very often.

My son didn't require fever reducer (tylenol) since Friday, seemed fine but the at-home COVID test popped positive last night. He still seemed fine today. Then tonight his fever and headache came back. I must say I'm a little more than a little concerned.

I'm still symptom free so I'm able to easily tend to him. Any advice for helping him to keep healing?

I'm keeping him on mucinex and D with an every 3rd day zinc (25mg).

Mark, I found this reading especially interesting and gives you some good information. Link I actually take the daily vitamin regiment recommended at the end of this article.

Thanks. Reading it now.

His PCP had originally prescribed doxycycline but when he got the positive COVID test the doctor told me it wouldn't help. That article says that it is a treatment but requires Ivermectin or HCQ. I'll call him tomorrow and see if he agrees or if I'm looking for a new doctor.

The article also states to start these treatments at stage 1 and I am nearly certain the boy is beyond that. However his only symptoms are fever and headache. Both symptoms are absent at the moment.

I have had it three times. The first time was the worst, but I think that was because of the strict quarantine that I went into and general lack of knowledge on how to treat it. Stayed in my basement for 14 days. The lack of sun led to insomnia, restless leg syndrome and extreme boredom. Had a headache for 6 weeks following and was admitted to ER with stroke symptoms. Turned out it was just damage to blood vessels from first bout. The second time I had no symptoms, third time was more like a chest cold. Took the J&J vaccine in-between 2 & 3 so that I could visit my daughter at college. Glad that worked so well Wink.

Mark, I am trying to understand your take on Zinc. Are you suggesting that 11mg daily is the correct dosage? Where are you getting that if I might ask.

For an adult male, yes. Source: Dr. John Campbell and another study that I read but can’t locate at the moment.

mark123--Did you see the discussion of StorminNormin's experience with his mother's condition? It is in the main coronavirus/Sars thread, and culminates at the bottom of page 1037. I strongly suggest you look into ivermectin as well as anything else you are considering. My experience with it has been very good as well.

Our PCP suggested monoclonal antibody infusion for my son but the problem is he’s already past the window for that as well as all the antivirals. Seems that he’s guessing.

mark, not in relation to your son's condition. But to zinc intake. Do some more research. I think upping ones intake is a good idea. The dose you are talking about is way low I believe. Do more research for yourselves.

mark123, I guess that if your son is past the antiviral stage, which I believe is about 7 or 8 days, he would be in inflammatory stage. Ivermectin has shown some efficacy in that stage as well, but it may be time for stronger anti-inflammatories. I would be looking to the FLCCC guidelines and protocols, especially if there is a doctor involved, as some seem beyond the lay person's level of knowledge or expertise. Here, again, is the webpage. Might be information to present to the PCP. Good luck.

My son caught it just after christmas. 10 year old, pretty healthy boy. He had a difficult to control fever (102-103 with tylenol), we alternated between motrin and tylenol for about 30 hours. He got the heat rashes. We also utilized cold compresses to his head and tepid water baths. I can near guarantee he got it at a restaurant bathroom about 5 days before symptoms. From the onset of symptoms, by 48 hours he was completely normal.

About 4 days later it hit me. Lasted about 24 hours, used tylenol and motrin, was driving across the state and while it wasn't fun, I wasn't sick enough to discontinue. Drove home. (about 550 miles) Both my wife and I had J&J, one time, back in 2021 (June). I got the Delta covid last fall, only missed one day of work. Took tylenol and motrin only. Couldn't take a deep breath or climb a flight of stairs for about 2 months. Lost taste. That's still not back fully. Wife and teenage daughter haven't had symptoms yet, despite at least a dozen china flu exposures. My wife slept with me in our bed through both covid illnesses, never once showed a symptom on this latest one. She felt cruddy in the fall when I had it, but didn't miss work either.

I get it that some people are pretty badly affected by china flu. Our own personal experience hasn't reflected the hysteria and craze seen globally with this virus attack on the world.

Don’t forget that Marky has a kidney disease and is on immunosuppressive medication.
