Uni (sea urchin roe). Only sushi I avoid, in fact about the only food I avoid for taste reasons. That said, the last time I tried it, wasn't too bad. But I still wouldn't go out of my way to order it.

There's a diner in Missoula, MT that serves brains and eggs. Used to be the thing, after closing down the bars downtown to go to the Ox for a breakfast of brains and eggs...by all but me. They use cow brains though, so there's that.

Add that to my list.

Mushrooms, I have hated them since I was a kid.

And Cilantro makes everything taste like motor oil, or a bar of Lifeboy (Ralphie from a Christmas story) it ruins the taste of anything that it is on.

And it's my guess that is what they taste like!

Raw meat or fish.
I have a background in clinical microbiology and parasitology - I just can't eat those.

The cilantro is a genetic thing. For a certain percentage of people it really does taste like soap.

Whale.

The vilest thing I have ever had in my mouth. I was on a Norwegian offshore intervention vessel, and my coworker and I were invited to dine at the captain's table. My coworkers warned me that they'll serve whale, but I'll try anything once. It came out looking like a ribeye steak (red meat with nice marbling) so I let my guard down. The Norwegians laughed at my reaction. My coworker described it as a bad combination of liver and squirrel.

When I went to an Inupiat village in Alaska and their favorite thing was to get white people to eat mukluk (aka whale blubber). They asked me if I had ever eaten whale and I truthfully said "yes." Good thing the didn't ask if I had ever eaten mukluk

Lost my taste for watermelon after working on a farm in high school, after that all watermelon tastes like rind to me.

Seafood, for the most part.

I can do shrimp cocktail or canned tuna with mayo, but I can't eat any other type of seafood. Which is a shame because I wish I did since it would open up a ton of other options, but I just can't do it.

Maybe at some point, but.
