And on Friday, more than five dozen women came forward to defend Kavanaugh, calling him "a good person" in a letter to the committee."We are women who have known Brett Kavanaugh for more than 35 years and knew him while he attended high school between 1979 and 1983. For the entire time we have known Brett Kavanaugh, he has behaved honorably and treated women with respect," the letter read. "We strongly believe it is important to convey this information to the Committee at this time."

This says it all for me. Vote and be done with it. Anita Hill lied and failed and this bitch is too in my mind.

My take? The country is probably better off if she avoided relationships with men altogether.

Yes, that was when it was an anonymous claim unreleased, etc.

Now it has become a news item, and nothing to be gained by hiding our heads in the sand, or avoiding the controversy.

I for one get an advantage by having these things discussed on the forum, different sources, different points of view.

We need to follow this as close as we can. If the God Damned Commies get away with this, there will never be another conservative Supreme Court Justice confirmed in our lifetimes.

I hope someone discloses her activism in detail. Your article reports that the accuser spend time deleting her social media presence.

The fact that she is scrubbing it seems relevant to me.

one would think that if this 'claim' were actually true, it would have been true 35 years ago and if it was important now, it would have been far more important back then...so why wasn't it dealt with back then?

perhaps because its fabricated by a democrat?

Through this whole process the Dems have been out of control scumbags! This is just another made-up ploy to stall.

I believe Feinstein wouldn't name this shill earlier because she knew the shitstorm that would erupt when people learned of her politics. It's a war guys, and this is just another battle!

I'm sure Cory Booker will be along shortly to die on this hill too.

Same shit that worked on the Alabama voters who elected to cut off their nose to spite their face and voted for a Democrat for their Senator recently.
This shit works until we stop letting it work.

Clarence Thomas, The Herminator, Roy Moore now Judge Kavanaugh

Have the vote on Thursday stand together as Republicans and win or else!!

Hopefully, this won't work. Grassley takes the vote next week. If you are against Kavanaugh, vote no. Otherwise vote yes.

Then in the full Senate, Mitch can count noses and see if anyone on our side has the yips. He will do this without me telling him to, of course.

Let the no’s bitch and moan. Nothing we’ve heard changes our mind that this is the most qualified nominee in decades. The Ayes have it!

It scares the hell out of me what the left is willing to do to this country. Everyone, regardless of your political beliefs, should be very concerned by what's happening with this and the Mueller circus. We've learned how corrupt the FBI, the media, Dem. congressman, and the DOJ has become, all in a short period of time.

I'm disgusted. Mad

The left has been getting away with things like this for a long time. They have zero shame and will lie, steal, and forge the votes to get what they want. Here is one incident, post all you can find.People have a short memory.

Harry Reid lied about Mitt Romney’s taxes. He’s still not sorry.

https://www.washingtonpost.com...m_term=.d363488f3275

One of the strangest incidents of the 2012 presidential campaign was when then-Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid accused then-Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney of having not paid any taxes over the past decade. That Reid made that allegation from the floor of the Senate made it even odder.

The problem with Reid's allegation? It's just not true. We know that, at least in 2011 and 2010, Romney did pay taxes. How do we know that? Because Romney released his tax returns for those years. In 2011, Romney paid $1.9 million in taxes; in 2010, he paid slightly more than $3 million in taxes.

Yet Reid (D-Nev.) not only refuses to retract the allegation but also seems to take great pride in it. When pressed by CNN's Dana Bash last year about continuing to defend a statement that is not true, Reid responded, "Romney didn't win, did he?"

Then there's this from Reid via Terris:

Is there a line he wouldn’t cross when it comes to political warfare?

“I don’t know what that line would be,” [Reid] said.

Roy Moore isn't even remotely on the same level as Thomas or Kavanaugh, and we're all better off that Roy Moore's only hope of being in DC is as a visitor.

And while I don't agree with all of Kavanaugh's positions, I think these allegations by this woman are ridiculous, especially so many years afterwards. Hopefully this will blow over.

This right here is pretty close what I've thought all along and please, allow me to expand.

The Dems know damn well they can't use this to derail the Kavanaugh nomination. I understand that they'll still try to use it for that but I fully believe they did this for another reason.

That reason in particular would be to use this baseless accusation as a reason to re-kindle the fake Republican war on women. These asshats literally run in circles and that's exactly what they're going to do with this in the mid terms.

Their hope is to give one or more Republican Senators loose bowels so they will not vote to confirm. Failing that, they need to buy time in hopes of a better Senate.

We haven’t heard the worst. Just be glad the sudden complainant was female. The next one might not be. Maybe a priest complaining about being molested by Kavanaugh..... anything to get this derailed.

I think other reasons could be to:

Give cover to vulnerable democrat senators up for election in red states for not voting to confirm Brett Kavanaugh. If no democrats and 2 republicans do not vote for Brett Kavanaugh it is game over for him. If Brett Kavanaugh does get confirmed, as I believe he will, by republicans only it still gives those democrat senators the cover they need to not piss off their democrat base.

To further rile up the hard left voting base to get votes and contributions. Campaign ads would be used against vulnerable republican senators saying" he/she voted to confirm a man to the Supreme Court while being under investigation by the FBI for sexual assault".

Well if that asshole Flake votes against vote by the committee as scheduled then that will be really bad news for Brett Kavanaugh and those of us that support him and President Trump. It will be a fucking circus of epic proportions if the accuser is brought into a senate hearing but that is exactly what the POS democrats want. Such publicity will put enormous pressure on week kneed Collins and Murkowsi.
