This is exactly what happens when you delude yourselves as a party thinking that everyone’s top concerns are climate change and abortion and ignore the fact that it’s the ECONOMY, CRIME and the WIDE OPEN BORDER.

Bunch of idiots, I pray they all pay dearly on November 8:

Why November’s starting to look like a ‘red tsunami’: Dems have nothing on voters’ top concerns

New York Daily News
By Post Editorial Board
October 21, 2022

You could sense the giddiness in the press coverage over the summer about the Democrats’ chances in the midterms. President Joe Biden will upend historic norms, the cheerleaders said. Pop the champagne and spend some more government money!

The devastating Jan. 6 testimony and the Supreme Court’s decision on Roe v. Wade seemed to cement the narrative — Democrats would keep Congress or at least the Senate.

But as Election Day has gotten closer, voters started paying attention and realized that’s all Dems had. Every ad was about abortion or Donald Trump, even as inflation raged, crime ravaged and the border remained wide open.

You can see the mad scramble as candidates realize what went wrong. They’re flip-flopping on defunding the police, Biden is telling Venezuelans they can’t come in and he gave a speech Friday where he ludicrously claimed to be a fiscal conservative.

They’re not fooling anyone. The Democrats have no plan to fix the issues that matter most to Americans. You see it even in New York, as Republican Lee Zeldin has pulled even with Kathy Hochul, an empty-suited governor whose vision for the state is . . . nothing. In the face of rising crime, she won’t even consider changing the disastrous no-bail law.

Seventeen days until an incredibly important midterm election, and there’s a red wave rising. Let’s hope it’s a tsunami.

Could start a list of the states they are going to be stealing elections in:

Washington, mail in ballots for 18 years
California, the Dems control everything in the .gov.
New Mexico, they are also in full control of that government.
Colorado
NY and NJ,
Possibly Oregon.

Check this out: Real Clear Politics: Polls: Dixon vs. Whitmer (Michigan Governor)

Shows Whitmer with a three point lead. That's less than the margin of error and conservative voters are often under-represented in polls.

Thus, even RCP's ranking and projection (RCP tends to lean somewhat left-ish) has the ranking as a toss-up and a probable GOP pick up.

As Appliance Brad told me in email: Michigan rarely fails to re-elect the incumbent. This may be one of those rare instances.

Let us hope so!

4/5 of the mailers I get are treating abortion as the only issue. The SCOTUS has already said it's a state by state decision so why are they using it as an issue in the House & Senate races? Because low-information voters are either zealots or idiots.

Yup. I see many leftist media outlets recently "admitting" that there will be a red tide or tsunami or whatever. My thinking is, that serves to lull the right into complacency and to not go to the poll, because "Hey, we got this one in the bag".

^^^Yep, as Glen Reynolds-Instapundit keeps saying to Conservatives: "Don't get cocky".

Get out & vote. Make sure you inform and emphasize who is to blame for inflation, gas prices and crime.

Talked with an acquaintance in Michigan, asked if he was excited about a possible Tudor Dixon victory. Said nope, he is going to vote for Whitmer as he cares about abortion rights. Your 70 years old and abortion is your main concern. Ugh!

While I hope and pray for a red wave, I won't believe it until I see it.

RCP always seems to have good polling data and they do admit that Republicans are often under sampled by a lot.

We also can count on the Shy Tory Factor to be on our side after this idiot Biden got in front of cameras and basically declared all of us Enemies Of The State there in Philly. Roll Eyes

That is the wild card here. In my county typically only 19 - 23 percent of eligible voters turnout for a non presidential election. Rest of the state is similar.

This above all else.

There's something cyclical about political predictions. Pollsters and pundits can only tell you what they think will happen at this point in time. Their predictions may change radically (and, for them, profitably - gotta get them clicks!) within four or five days.

If Republicans try to take predictions in late October to the bank while Dems are panicked into mobilization (and they're gearing up for the last-minute push anyway), then the conversation becomes all about abortion and maybe climate change with no mention at all of inflation, crime, and overregulation (think "COVID requirements") taken to bizarre extremes.

WRT CA, I’m not sure they need to steal CA. Calling the average CA voter a drooling moron is giving them way too much credit. As someone said the other day, if a neutron bomb went off in Sacramento and took out every CA politician it wouldn’t do any good as we’d only elect folks who are worse than the crooks we currently have.

I’ll continue voting right and encouraging those I know who are of like mind. I’ll continue hoping that the regulatory insanity and pain at the pump will reach some CA voters, but I won’t hold my breath.

You have to try. You also have to be realistic about your chances.

It's not just RCP, but other leftist media entities. WashPo has basically stated that nobody is buying the Biden lie about job creation, or the WSJ admits that any Democrat momentum a month ago is long gone.

RCP a few days ago projected wins for Republicans in gubernatorial races in Nevada, Oregon, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Key issues include the extremely poor economy, the border, violent crime, and pushing transgender/gay agendas in public elementary schools.

They are "low-information voters" -- The MSM does not keep them informed of the realities. I wonder if they even know about some of the important issues.
