I'm not for doom and gloom; I'm for not being complacent and for being vigilant and making sure those who are in position and are supposed to be on our side to be vigilant.

Trump was for sure to have won 2020 and he did. I don't want a repeat.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I dislike this "we're gonna win big" rhetoric. Encourages voters to stay home. "shit, it's a rep landslide, I'll just sleep in" Do that and all of this win talk is in the toilet.

For the Dems, it is. They got nothin' else. Problem for them is abortion rights doesn't really resonate well among those who understand what they mean by it.

I hope there is a Red Sea rising but I’m having my doubts ever since the SCOTUS decision. There has been massive voter registry in a lot of areas. The Dems are getting a lot of mileage over the abortion ruling. Just about every ad on tv is attacking that one point.

I’m in Illinois and Pritzker just sent me $400 for a property tax rebate for the first time ever. Talk about trying to buy votes.

How many times before the next election will you get gas, go food shopping, go out to eat or get an abortion?

I am on the west coast, in liberal utopia. I am surprised at how many women are complaining about the lies and corruption in both the government and the media. Usually they are singing the Obama is going to save us song.

People who thought I was crazy for spouting opinions about the stolen election, etc., are actually admitting that there is severe corruption and that the media lied. There are lots of sheep in California, but some are seeing the light.

New Mexico, they are also in full control of that government.
Colorado
NY and NJ,
Possibly Oregon.

Could start a list of states where they are going to try to steal. It is up to us to make sure they aren’t successful.

WRT CA, I’m not sure they need to steal CA. Calling the average CA voter a drooling moron is giving them way too much credit. As someone said the other day, if a neutron bomb went off in Sacramento and took out every CA politician it wouldn’t do any good as we’d only elect folks who are worse than the crooks we currently have.

I’ll continue voting right and encouraging those I know who are of like mind. I’ll continue hoping that the regulatory insanity and pain at the pump will reach some CA voters, but I won’t hold my breath.

You have to try. You also have to be realistic about your chances.

What about the 11 CA House seats with Republican reps? Are those CA voters “drooling morons?” In reality, we need those eleven seats to control the house, and painting all of California with a broad brush is unhelpful. Why write off more seats than some states have in total?

So apparently your acquaintance was ok with the Governor’s releasing Covid patients from hospitals back into nursing homes and infecting others instead of using the field hospitals set up in Novi and Detroit that treated almost zero patients. And how many seniors died as a result of that.

How she said in the gubernatorial debate when asked if it was true she wanted to increase the fuel tax by twenty five cents a gallon and she said that was not true. And two weeks after she took office she then said that the funding problem to “Fix the damn roads” (her campaign line) was worse than she thought and now it was going to take a forty five cent per gallon increase which got slapped down in the state legislature.

Her asking persons doing business with the state to fly her and her daughters to Florida in their private jet to assist the family in a personal matter and not involving state business. Until the press brought this to light the Governor’s attitude was “nothing to see here”.

How she vetoed a temporary reduction in the state fuel last spring. Instead waiting for the Federal fuel tax to be reduced which never happened.

We won’t even get into when restrictions were eased on travel the first region that travel was allowed to and from was coincidentally where her family’s personal cottage was, Traverse City area. And how her husband when facing a wait in getting their personal boat out of storage tried to push himself ahead of others by saying to the marina owner “Does it count that my wife is the Governor?”

As we say here our Governor’s philosophy is “Rules for thee and not for me”
Unfortunately there are many here with the same philosophy of your acquaintance.

Abortion giving the Dems a lot of mileage is fake news. If they were getting a lot of mileage, then they wouldn't need to be sending out tax rebates or student loan forgiveness plans. It's a cover story for whatever shenanigans they are going to try to pull.

Hence, my ask that the people who are supposedly on our side and are responsible for the votes better be vigilant against any Democrat shenanigans.

Yes, the Central Valley has right thinking people, and even gets to send some of them to DC. There are also areas of Northern CA, and even Orange County, that are not overrun by commies. The problem is that on the state level they are swamped by the places that are overrun by commies.

If you re-read the second paragraph, you’ll note that the drooling moron comment was directed at the average CA voter, not all CA voters. Sacramento is lost, but as I said in the third paragraph, I’ll continue voting right and encouraging likeminded folks to do the same. Living as close to the coast as I do, it is unlikely that I’ll send a Republican to DC, but it won’t be for lack of trying.

We all know polls can be, often are, wildly misleading, but, still: I'll take my good news where I can get it:

Trafalgar Poll: Whitmer's Lead Over Dixon Shrinks to 0.5 Point in Michigan

By Nicole Wells | Monday, 24 October 2022 01:06 PM EDT

With just two weeks to go before the election, Republican Tudor Dixon has narrowed the gap with Democrat incumbent Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to 0.5 percentage point in Michigan's gubernatorial race, according to a new Trafalgar poll.

Whitmer leads Dixon 48.4% to 47.9%, according to the survey, which is within the margin of error, making the race a statistical dead heat. The poll found that only 1.8% of voters are undecided about whom to cast their ballots for as the race moves into its final days.

Democrat participation in the survey was 54.5%, while Republican participation totaled 37.1%. Unaffiliated or independent voters made up 8.4% of survey respondents.
Full story: Trafalgar Poll: Whitmer's Lead Over Dixon Shrinks to 0.5 Point in Michigan

Man, would it ever be nice to see Witchmer tossed out on her ear--hopefully along with the other two Witches of Lansing: AG Nessel and SoS Benson.

I’m encouraged by today’s local news report that was showing Greg Abbot in Texas with a double digit lead as opposed to msm reports of 1-2 points.

I’ve been concerned about the abortion issue flipping some voters.

Do you know what's flipped a lot of voters? A trip to the grocery store and the gas station.

Imagine the race in Michigan if the RNC had given money for Dixon to compete. Instead, money is given to to Murcowski to compete against another Republican!

They're trying to insure that compliant Republicans make up the new majority. Free-thinkers (sane ones) are not popular.

Well, they're not doing themselves any favors with their myopia.

E.g.: They should be plowing money into countering the false adverts from the left regarding Michigan Prop 2, for, if that passes it will do the GOP no favors in the future.

The GOP is sometimes its own worst enemy.

I didn't know Murkowski was a compliant Republican. Am I missing something?
