Stunning vehicle as far as performance per dollar, it's an amazing deal, I'm not a mid engine fan, although it's clear GM had to make that change, still prefer the front engine, rear drive layout of the past.

Whats the bump sticker going to be on that...

That's an awesome car. Only in my dreams, though.

Nope. I remember when you could buy a new Z06 for $50k, it was the C5 Z06. And that car was hanging with cars twice its price.

At some point, GM figured that options is where they make higher margins. I read on Corvette specific boards about people buying base models. Personally, if I'm buying a car like that, I'm not getting a base model. Never really understood that concept. When you are spending time with your car, you are inside of it, may as well enjoy the interior and features.

Starting at about $65K with a 0-60 in about 3 seconds. I have to disagree with you

I'm not aware of a set mark up on it

Indeed. Other than the brakes, which are still over-priced but not to the same degree, those options are insane. I'm not sure what is worse, the lug nuts, or the price just for painting the intake red.

Still an amazing car though. Very different from the 80's/90's/00's Vette's, but still beautiful and stupid-fast! Sadly, my past history has shown that I would quickly end up without a drivers license if I owned one!

Not the top model that’s for sure. A Stingray starts at $66k and with options it you could keep it around $75k. Considering the average new car is now well into the $50’s the Stingray is probably a similar price hike over the average car that it always has been.

I've got a cousin that builds the engine for the Z06 the caddy blackwings. I keep looking to see her name on one in the wild.

The more I see the C8's in the wild, the less I like them compared to the C7, but those wide hips of the Z06 really make it look good.

The performance of the Corvette is unquestionable, incredible even. The styling has not grown on me yet, I like curves not sharp angles.

Just wondered about a markup since we read things on the interwebs about massive markups on specialty vehicles, the Z06 being a low production exclusive vehicle. There was a dealer was online asking $150K over, but he got hammered online and had to take the listing down. Believe it was Terry Morse's dealer here in south fl. I wouldn't be surprised if they did, it's a hot vehicle and capitalistic market forces drive that...

MSRP may be $65K on a 1LT but you'll be hard pressed to find one selling for MSRP. The Z06 dealer has a used Black 1LT (base model) with 3K miles on it on their web page, listed at $92,000 with a listed $17K discount, it's still $79,000.

345 width rears Eek
Each probably costs at least as much as 5 tires cost [total] for my new project.

I recall the teaser video for the C8 Z06, told a coworker that if I wasn't watching it, I'd have thought it was a Ferrari. Sounds really good at full chat.

Flat plane crank engines sound excellent!

Indeed they do, guessing the Mustang GT350 is probably the cheapest you can get into something with a V8 & FPC. Bonus that it's a 6MT too!

We have sold all of our pre-sold and ordered C8's for MSRP, this Z06 will of course be the exception

BTW, I don't want anyone to think I am advertising this thing, I could care less about it's sale. You wanna get me excited, tell me you need work trucks for your fleet

When I ordered it, the Z07 option was on constraint because of the ground effects that are in the Z07

It weighs 3597 lbs

Drilled rotors, I’m out.

Seriously though, how does one wax the thing? If Mr. Miyagi had a car like that, Daniel LaRusso would have never become a car dealer.

It’s not only the angles but the all the parts that look like they were just stuck on there because hey it looked cool on the Hot Wheels cars.

I go back and forth on its looks, but I’m sure I’d enjoy driving one.

In the one picture, there’s a second brake caliper. I’m assuming that’s the parking brake?
