I am writing this with a heavy heart. My son passed away Sunday early morning. I only had almost 22 years with him and I am grateful to the Good Lord I had that. Everything was looking good for him-he followed in my footsteps in the fire dept., was getting released soon as a primary medic, and he loved his job and the people he worked with and he loved the Lord.

As we are overwhelmed with grief, I prayed to the Good Shepherd for comfort. Being we are always wanting a sign, I was no different. I prayed to the Lord He would send me a sign he was with the Heavenly Prince of Peace. I opened my Bible to John 4:50. It was a nobleman who wanted help from Jesus to save his son. The first thing I read in the Good Book, was in verse 50,Jesus said," Go your son lives".

I was overwhelmed with peace and sadness. I thank the Good Lord everyday and pray for His will to be done. As in the book of Job, " the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD".

I can't thank Jesus enough for allowing the time I had. I beg of you all, turn to the Jesus for salvation as HE is the only way to the Father. I love and pray for you all, God bless.

That is so terrible... but you have a good perspective.
I am truly sorry for your loss. Your son and family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

My deepest and sincere condolences.

While not by his own hand, I lost my only son 17 years ago this month; he was 25.
There are no words I can type; the pain will never leave, but over time it will lessen.

On June 15th it will be 54 years since my father took his life. It is extremely difficult to deal with such a situation. I remember staring at my father and the fireman took me away to another room.

I cannot now nor ever understand why.

You have my most sincere prayers.

There are members here who know your grief and hope. While you’ll never be the same, your faith will be reinforced over time if you allow it. Grief will cycle. We turned to each other and the Lord. I pray peace becomes your constant companion and that faith and hope carries you through. I’m so sorry for your loss.
