Yes, there are. Trump times were happier times.

There are so many people that deserve special parking privileges that it would be impossible to designate them all. As such I propose that we classify all of those deserving into color codes, and merely designate entire sections of parking spaces by colored stripes.

I will say that the Lowe's around here did actually come up with a worthwhile dedicated parking section before anybody else which does make sense: Truck & trailer spaces. 50 feet long and at a diagonal to make them easy to get in and out of. While the majority of the other dedicated spaces remain empty, their customers actually seem to use these. Maybe it's because there are more truck and trailer driving customers shopping there than on legged pregnant lesbian Latinas.

I have had my finger on this for a while now. And haven’t found a good way to express it. And you managed to convey what I have observed succinctly.

Tractor Supply also has them. I'll use one if the parking lot isn't very crowded but if it is, I'll use another space in case a vet that needs to park closer needs one.

I don't know why we have parking lots anyway. Just big corp pandering to those with cars. I'm not better than the others. I'll walk to the store from my own house.

I was at work about 18 months ago and an “entitled one” decided to park in the Veterans spot at a Home Depot. A lady walking by looked at them, Waited for them to exit the vehicle and questioned if they were a Vet. Was blatantly obvious they were not. Made them move the car

Now if they start having LGBTQ parking spaces I will accuse them rightly of pandering.

Why is it feeble to you?

Because it is obvious that they are pandering. Like so many others who are trying to make money off of veterans and veteran causes. While their stated goal might be something that is admirable, you have to know that the only reason they are doing it is the dollar. This has little if anything to do with honoring veterans. It's all about one-upping Home Depot.

I can't believe that 20+ years of all veterans all the time hasn't worn thin on more of you. The vast majority of businesses spouting off about veterans don't give two shits about veterans.

If Lowes wants to do something for veterans, how's about they donate to mental health services for combat veterans to stop suicides related to PTSD or help homeless veterans find a warm place to live? That would mean a whole lot more than a few parking spots in front of their store in Kalispell, MT.

You almost seem jealous or bitter that this is being done.

Not jealous or bitter as I could take advantage of it if I wanted to. I don't.

I'm just tired of the pandering and the using of veterans for the dollar. If they were honest, they'd put their money where their mouth is.

ETA: And my apologies...I didn't mean to shit on your thread. It just struck a nerve that has been irritated for awhile.

They do donate to veterans charities...

I have no dog in this fight.... just pointing it out.
