I'm beginning to wonder how many Dems would rather lose the presidential election to Trump than see Bernie in the White House. There might just be some serious poetic justice in the answer to that question.

Sanders sends Democratic establishment into panic mode

Moderate Democrats watched in horror as Bernie Sanders soared to a landslide victory in Nevada.

It wasn't the win that was surprising — it was the walloping Sanders gave his opponents, his ability to dominate among Latino voters, and the momentum he gained moving into South Carolina and Super Tuesday. The performance sent already worried Democrats into a full-blown panic.

“In 30-plus years of politics, I’ve never seen this level of doom. I’ve never had a day with so many people texting, emailing, calling me with so much doom and gloom,” said Matt Bennett of the center-left group Third Way after Sanders' win in Nevada.

Bennett said moderates firmly believe a Sanders primary win would seal Donald Trump’s reelection. “It’s this incredible sense that we’re hurtling to the abyss. I also think we could lose the House. And if we do, there would be absolutely no way to stop [Trump]. Today is the most depressed I’ve ever been in politics.”

A renewed sense of urgency washed over establishment Democrats, who fear it’s quickly becoming too late to stop Sanders.

Biden supporters moved to persuade the party to coalesce around him as the best hope of blunting Sanders' momentum. A super PAC for Biden renewed discussions with jittery donors who had frozen their financial support for the former vice president as they awaited signs of whether billionaire Mike Bloomberg would emerge as the strongest moderate candidate, according to two donors with knowledge of the talks.

Among the pitches from pro-Biden forces to donors: Bloomberg could not overcome past policies that alienated minorities, most prominently the stop-and-frisk policing tactic he embraced as New York City mayor. They argued that if Bloomberg stays in the race, Sanders will clean up on Super Tuesday, then it’s game over.

“For the establishment, I think it’s Joe or bust,” said Simon Rosenberg, New Democrat Network president, who served as a senior strategist for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2018.

No need to panic...AT ALL! Sanders just happens to be the "cleanest" turd in the toilet bowl. What's that say about the other absolute total LOSERS that are playing this game with that bloviating crazy-eyed old coot of a windbag?

Save for a few that are equally idiotic, e.g., Jeb and Kasich, the rest of the 2016 Republican nominees could debate circles around ALL these Libtarded dolts. ESPECIALLY Ted.

I'm just laughing at this entire debacle.

The democrats have been turning socialist for decades, now they have a socialist to vote for and they don't want to because he isn't their "kind" of socialist.

Nor will I; there is a very large population of self-disenfranchised young people with self induced debt that are extremely and rabidly vocal about supporting the old fraud.

Sadly, this is drawing in an additional support base of family members and SJW sycophants that are aware of their debt and apparent jobless market because they chose to major in something worthless like "women's studies" or some such shit.

If Sanders doesn't get the nod from the DNC, it will be Antifa 2.0 again. If Sanders does get picked, once Trump starts attacking all of the socialist policies Breadline Bernie's base will start their violent attacks again anyway. Or when he loses. The bottom line is that Bernie supporters will begin their rampage at some point. I think that this time they will not have such an easy time of victimizing people.

Well, don't assume that all the "gimmedats" are voters. The recount of 23 Iowa counties demanded by Sanders and Buttigieg hasn't been completed yet, and Buttigieg is "demanding more details" about the Nevada count because he thinks he should've taken second place - and we all know that Dems "demanding more details" are simply looking for ammunition with which to overturn results and get outcomes that favor them.

http://www.politico.com/news/2...evada-results-116844

And yes, I am looking forward to mass hilarity when the disputes over the Super Tuesday primary votes turn into vicious recount battles all over the country. Heck, with the 23-county recount in Iowa I'm already beginning to see this as karma for the Dems' adventures in dangling chad land.

Bloomberg Prepares to Blitz Bernie

More and more democrats are openly criticizing Bernie Sanders directly. However, they only have a window of about ten days to attack Bernie before Super Tuesday

Institutional democrats had conducted a few test runs against Sanders in previous months; however, as with the example of Hillary Clinton, each effort resulted in a quick reversal after the backlash from Bernie’s grassroots activists. What appears to be happening now is a blitzkrieg effort with all elements aligned and focused.

The Sunday evening CBS interview was carefully crafted and highlighted some of the more severe opinions and beliefs of Bernie.

We are starting to see the ‘Never-Bernie’ candidates taking direct aim at the front-runner from all directions. Along with the shift the campaign of Mini Mike Bloomberg announces they are going to carpet bomb Sanders with a mass media blitz of negative attack ads.

Bloomberg has an estimated net worth of just over $60 billion, giving his self-funded campaign voluminous resources to target President Donald Trump and Sanders. It spent over $220 million in January alone, Federal Election Commission records say.

Some of Bloomberg’s attacks have already been initiated by the campaign and it gives hints at what he will likely focus on when he debates Sanders and other rivals in South Carolina on Tuesday.

Bloomberg’s team on Monday released a digital spot attacking Sanders’ track record on gun safety laws. Many more ads targeting the Vermont lawmaker are expected in the weeks to come

I think Bernie Sanders winning the Dem nomination is the best chance for Trump to be re-elected. I don't know, since I don't have a crystal ball, what Trump's chances are, but Sanders as an opponent maximizes his opportunity...IF the economy does not melt down, then all bets are off.

I sure as help hope the economy stays strong for many, many reasons.

Chris Mathews is about to stroke out.....win-win

https://www.citizenfreepress.c...king/msnbc-meltdown/

I think Bernie will end up getting screwed out of the nomination which is also a win for us....

This election is shaping up to be much more fun than I figured it would be.

Bllomberg thinks he can muscle his way to the nomination through a brokered convention and he probably is right but the "woke" 20% or so will probably not vote for him.

Imagine all the money Trump supporters will save if Bernie wins the Democrat primary! Bernie's socialist message is all the pro-Trump advertisement the president needs.

I don’t know what the Florida electorate looks like. If it is made up of snowbirds from northern state who made their and retired to somewhere with nicer weather, then he doesn’t have a chance. If it is made up of a free shit army looking for a handout, then such an approach may help him. I’d guess the electorate in FL is more of the former and less of the latter, but I have no clue.

My high school US History teacher explained communism the very first thing on the very first day of class. He said, “Okay, you guys are going to vote as to whether we have a communist class or a free market type class.” We all looked at him with a WTF expression on our face and he elaborated, “If you vote for communism, we’ll still cover the same material, still have the same quizzes and tests, but they won’t matter, because everyone will get a C, regardless of their test scores. If the class votes for free market, your grade will be determined by your scores on the tests and quizzes. Everyone who wants communism raise your hand. Okay, everyone who wants free market raise your hand.” We went free market, but there were a surprising number of votes for communism. As he explained, if the communist system looks better than what you have and expect to get, you may well vote for it. A chicken in every pot sounds like going backwards to the guy with a herd of cattle, several pigs, and a large flock of chickens, but it sounds pretty good to the guy who’s getting by on rice and beans and hasn’t had any animal protein in years.

ETA: Oops, saigonsmuggler posted a point I totally missed while I was typing (Prolly what Balzé Halzé was alluding to by I was too thick to catch) - there are likely a lot of Cubanos in Florida who hate Fidel enough that even if they were part of a free shit army wouldn’t want anything to do with Comrade Sanders.

I just returned from Florida with a vault door, and my truck driver is a US citizen from Cuba who's been here about 5 years. We were talking about the economy in general and how it impacted his job driving an over the road truck, and he expressed his support for Trump and how his life has improved as a result.

He says his entire family here in the US supports Trump as they believe that the leaders of the Democrat party represent too much of what they left behind in Cuba.

This. My hope is the non-radical left stays home on Election Day if Bernie is the candidate. Looks like he's rolling but I still don't think the powers that be will allow him to become their candidate.
