I don't disagree with you. Actually, I concur heartily. This crime certainly falls under mental. I want to get this corrected but, on the other hand, I don't want to allow an overswing to the other side. For example, after 9/11, the Patriot Act was passed and it ended up being abused against Americans. I can see an overcorrection on this matter as going, "He doesn't believe in climate change? He must be crazy, let's commit him." "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

^^^^^^^^^^^ These decisions regarding involuntary committment are made my psychologists with specialized training, not some guy off the street.

Actually, they are made by judges, based on the testimony of psychologists with specialized training, and the testimony of others, including the individual to be committed. But judges would never base a decision on their own bias, would they? "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

You are technically correct. I have never seen a Judge go against expert testimony in committment cases. It could happen.

Justin Mohn, who showcased father's beheading in YouTube video, had 'clear mind' DA says. I do not want to know her definition of a clear mind. What an idiot. Here is the link: https://www.usatoday.com/story...ar-mind/72449531007/
