I think the margins are way beyond fraud or cheating. I have to think the Republicans somehow failed to play up the huge gains the country has made AMONG ALL GROUPS economically; bringing manufacturing back to the US; ending—not slowing down, ENDING illegal immigration; re migrating at least two million; biting the bullet to end risk of nuclear war from Iran; improved take-home income for most all families.
In other words: any problems remaining were caused by Democrats NOT Republicans.

DJT has done more to reverse the truly horrendous policies of Obama and Biden administrations than any sane person would have thought possible. American reacted by kicking him in the balls.

All you have to do is drive around Atlanta for an hour, you will see so many New York, NJ, California, Maryland plates and this has been an on going thing for the last 10 years. Only reason I am here now is taking care of elderly family. Jackson seemed like a genuinely good man but no that walking disaster Bottoms won it.

NC is getting completely overrun with Dim voters transplanting. It boggles my mind why more conservatives continue to let these assholes ruin our state. The morons voted in the last election to raise our sales tax 1% to 8.25%.

OTOH, I expect the stock market, especially tech stocks, to tank for the rest of the week. Maybe pick up some more SPCX on the dip.

Lots of dumb people in this country right now, but what else is new? The really terrible thing is that what used to be the "silent majority" of sane normal people simply isn't a majority of the people anymore.

From what I see on election maps, Austin, Dallas, Houston, El Paso, San Antonio, 20% of Texas' population, are all counted, and over four dozen rural counties have not been counted yet.

Gas is expensive and they believe the media. It's not much more complicated than that.

Trump, in general, and the Republican Party in particular, should’ve done more chest thumping and listing of their accomplishments on prime time TV, like FDR’s fireside chats.
Just putting out rants and diatribes on Truth Social was never going to be enough.

People are angry over gas and diesel prices, so they elect the party whose platform is high energy prices. Where’s that comet? We need it now more than ever.

Millions of Californians have moved to our state. Many of them liberal as fuck. I have watched the mass migration here every day for many years. It was bad prior to Covid then the flood gates opened. I’ve got Cali liberals on my own street. This is not the Texas I grew up in any longer. Many of us are planning escapes. This entire mass migration bullshit has completely wrecked the housing market in my county. Only reason I’m still here. I can’t even use the highway next to my house any longer. I have to wait on the housing market to level out and Vaya Con Dios.

It's bad but it is a midterm, gas prices are high, and we are involved in a war. It's a temporary setback. Trump has to play defense while wrapping up the Iran adventure pronto. I blame the people from out of state for electing a democrat to the senate in SC. Unbelievable.

The early numbers they were showing were from the Democrat strongholds - Houston, Dallas, Ft Worth, Austin, and San Antonio.

I'm looking at the Texas Tribune's site as as they give county by county information. My county's election site has 39 of 121 precicts reporting.

Now the traditional red counties are starting to report. I thought it was going to be a big swing, but I'm not liking the trend I'm seeing as places that are typically 75% R are running more like 60% R so far. For example, my county is historically 75% to 78% R, but right now:
  • Paxton is 59.9% (Texas Tribune) and 60.56% my county's site
  • Abbott is 61.9% (TT) and 62.6% (MC)
  • Steve Toth for US House is 49.9 (TT) and 55.08 (MC)

    I've been saying for months:
    quote:
Except for a few congressional seats, the biggest factor in an election outcome is whichever party gets its base voters to the polls and the fickle middle has little to nothing to do with it.
It ain't over yet, but so far it's not looking like we got our base to the polls but the Democrats did.
