You can never assume an armed robber is just after the money. Many victims have been killed for not having enough money, to not leave witnesses, or even just for the thrill of it. In the big picture or long view this doesn't matter (compared to potentially being dead), but in the small picture/short view, I wonder if he will still have a job, what with so many companies, even those that are robbery magnets, forbidding possession of guns on the premises. And the guy is liable to have a target on his back for some time. I can hear the cries of "Muh baby dindu nuffin'" or "The guy never even gave him a chance, he just came out and started shootin'" from here. | |||

What kind of laws does PA have as far as civil suits go? Since the DA has found that the employee did nothing criminal can the family of the deceased still sue him civilly? | |||

The store is still closed, that dirt bag is still costing the business money in his death, I'm sure they find that pretty tragic. Also, what about the employee? I'm sure he didn't wake up that day hoping to have a gun pointed at him or to take someone's life. It'd take me a bit to get over taking someone's life (deserved or not). The robber was clearly not expecting an armed response. What do you guys think about leaving the store and waiting outside? If the perp isn't dead, he has the ability to get a shot off maybe. Seems to me the better move is to stay put and keep an eye on him in case the threat isn't truly over. OR if you're going to bug out, then bug all the way out, not loiter outside in front of the shop windows. | |||

Anyone can file a law suit any time they want. All you need to do s find a lawyer willing to do it. I see many bogus law suits filled against the City everyday. In most cases the City will settle out of court and the plaintiff get's a quick cash settlement of which the lawyer get's his piece. Everyone knows it's a bs lawsuit. It's a pretty slick scam. | |||
