We need a bunch of Republican Congressmen to immediately submit the "End Unfair and Racist Gun Control" bill. Make the dems defend the requirement for ID to buy, own, or possess firearms. Make them defend federal and state laws requiring fingerprints, photo ID, and jumping through various hoops (MD letter, training classes, proficiency testing, background checks) to get various and possibly multiple government permits/licenses.

If it is too much to ask a voter to prove their identity, then it follows that the even greater requirements around firearms must also be eliminated.

House Passes Elections Bill Requiring Proof of Citizenship, Voter ID

Backed by the Trump administration, the SAVE America Act could face headwinds in the Senate.

House-Passed Voter ID SAVE Act Set To Die In Senate; DHS Shutdown Looms

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives passed the SAVE America Act by a margin of 218-213. The bill would require proof of citizenship to register to vote as well as photo ID to vote in federal elections. One Democrat, Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas, joined Republicans in voting for it, while one R and one D did not vote.

Sadly for anyone who values election integrity, Senate Republicans need 60 votes to pass it, and there "aren't anywhere close to the votes" according to Majority Leader John Thune (SD). Thune says he supports the SAVE Act, but he's not about to change the Senate rules to create a pathway to passing it - and that his position is widely supported among the Senate Republican Conference.

"It’s not just me not being willing to do it. There aren’t anywhere close to the votes, not even close, to nuking the filibuster," he said of a proposal to lower the threshold for advancing legislation to a simple majority by voting along partisan lines to establish new precedent - effectively changing the Senate's rules with what is known as "the nuclear option," The Hill reports.

"We’re having a very robust conversation among our Senate Republican colleagues about the path forward. I think most are supporters … I certainly am — of the SAVE Act and what it attempts to accomplish," Thune told reporters following the meeting. "You ought to be able to prove that you’re a citizen of this country in order to be able to vote. How we get to that vote remains to be seen," he said.

According to Thune, however, the nuclear option "doesn’t have a future. Is there another way of getting there? We’ll see."

Meanwhile, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) is pushing for a 'standing filibuster' to try and pass it, and implored the Senate GOP conference on Tuesday to interpret the current Senate rules to require Democrats to continuously hold the floor with active debate to block the SAVE Act.

"Nothing in the Senate's an easy move," Lee said after the meeting. "This one's certainly not. But if we want to do this, this is how we have to go about it."

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

If this passes then we are guaranteed a landslide victory. Married women are a huge chunk of the Democrat voting pool so making their attempts to register more complicated will help thin the herd.

Tell me you watch CNN without telling me you watch CNN. Have you known any married woman who has had difficulty getting an ID? Heaven forbid they need to drive a car, cash a check, borrow a book, board an airplane.

I have a mother, six sisters, a wife, four daughters, a mother in law, and two sisters in law, every one of which is married, and they’ve somehow all managed to get an ID.

Trump revokes BS “scientific finding” put on all of us from BhusseinO.

“The Trump administration on Thursday revoked a scientific finding that long has been the central basis for U.S. action to regulate greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change, the most aggressive move by the Republican president to roll back climate regulations.

The rule finalized by the Environmental Protection Agency rescinds a 2009 government declaration known as the endangerment finding that determined that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases threaten public health and welfare.”

I must give credit where credit is due. This is an excellent move on the part of the administration. On this topic I completely agree.

Investigator says she’s found the reason so many people believe the Left’s narratives

140 million people use Apple News every month, they researched 600 featured articles on Apple News, ALL OF THEM WERE LEFT LEANING

96 CONSECUTIVE DAYS with no conservative stories

“So have you ever wondered why your niece or your next door neighbor or that crazy woman at your kid's school is buying all of this left wing garbage and sounds like an MSNBC bobblehead every time they open their mouth? Here's why:

More than 140 million people use the Apple News app every month, making it one of the most popular news apps in the world. So it matters what stories go on it.

We at the Media Research Center analyzed more than 600 articles featured in the Apple News morning editions in the month of January. Which is one of the app's most high-traffic time slots.

Of those, 440 were from left-wing rags like the AP, NBC, the Washington Post, and the New York Times. All of them painted the Trump administration's foreign and immigration policies negatively.

Not one single article from a right-leaning outlet or perspective like Fox News or the New York Post was featured. Not one.

In fact, as of Monday, Apple News had gone 96 consecutive days without featuring a single story from a conservative news outlet, on its top stories.

— This is why millions of Americans don't know about things like the violent criminal aliens being arrested by ICE or the true impact of voter fraud and think that there's evidence that Donald Trump abused children contained in the Epstein files. There's not, because millions of Americans rely on big tech to supply them with their news and all they're getting is left-wing propaganda slop and they're buying it.”

Trump Says He Will Sign Orders to Require Voter ID for Midterms

Republican Sen. Susan Collins became the latest to support the SAVE Act.

President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post Feb. 13 he plans to sign an executive order requiring voter ID for midterm elections this year as the SAVE Act remained on life support in the Senate.

“We cannot let the Democrats get away with NO VOTER I.D. any longer,” Trump posted. “Even Democrat Voters agree, 85 percent, that there should be Voter I.D.”

“This is an issue that must be fought, and must be fought, NOW! If we can’t get it through Congress, there are Legal reasons why this SCAM is not permitted. I will be presenting them shortly, in the form of an Executive Order,” Trump said.

The U.S. House passed the SAVE America Act on Feb. 11. Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) led the legislation that would require Americans to prove their citizenship when registering to vote.
Under the bill, citizens would have to show a photo identification when casting ballots, including mail-in ballots.

The bill faces an uncertain future in the Senate, where Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) said this week there aren’t enough votes to drop the filibuster to advance the bill.

Trump’s announcement came hours after Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) became the latest holdout to throw her weight behind the SAVE Act, according to a statement to The Maine Wire. She is the 50th senator to back the legislation. However, she said she would not support breaking the filibuster rule.

Democratic officials have criticized the SAVE Act as racist and have labeled it “voter suppression.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called the bill “dead on arrival.”
“The goal of the SAVE Act is the same: disenfranchising American citizens and making it harder for eligible people to vote, particularly low-income Americans and people of color,” Schumer said in a speech on the Senate floor Feb. 9.

Rep. April McClain Delaney (D-Md.) said the bill would impact millions of people, including women whose married names don’t match their birth certificates, a claim that has been debunked.

The bill allows several valid forms of proof, including a U.S. passport, a REAL ID, or enhanced driver’s license, government-issued photo identification, such as a passport card, and a U.S. military ID shown alongside a military record of service showing the United States as the applicant’s birthplace.
Several left-wing and progressive organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union, the League of Women Voters, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, and the Brennan Center for Justice, came out against the Voter ID requirement this week.

Democrat Sen. John Fetterman, of Pennsylvania, broke party lines this week to support photo ID voting requirements, but told Dasha Burns on Politico’s “The Conversation” that his support did not extend to the House-passed bill.
Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who often votes against her party, became the first Republican to speak out against the bill Feb. 10. The senator claimed the bill would federalize elections.

No, the real reason is that it would reduce her chances of getting reelected. She one the lowest of snakes that inhabit the Senate.

At the Library of Congress, one can view newspaper articles since the 1700s. The media has ALWAYS been Left-leaning. George Washington couldn't do anything right according to the papers of his time. I feel confident that history will vindicate Trump (unless the Left completely takes over the country - God forbid).

I found what you said riveting.

Board of Peace Members Have Pledged More than $5 Billion for Gaza, Trump Says

President Donald Trump said he will announce on Thursday that Board of Peace member states have pledged more than $5 billion for reconstruction and humanitarian efforts in Gaza.

In a Sunday post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that member states have also committed thousands of personnel toward a U.N.-authorized stabilization force and local police in the Palestinian enclave.

"On February 19th, 2026, I will again be joined by Board of Peace Members at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C., where we will announce that Member States have pledged more than $5 BILLION DOLLARS toward the Gaza Humanitarian and Reconstruction efforts, and have committed thousands of personnel to the International Stabilization Force and Local Police to maintain Security and Peace for Gazans. Very importantly, Hamas must uphold its commitment to Full and Immediate Demilitarization. The Board of Peace will prove to be the most consequential International Body in History, and it is my honor to serve as its Chairman," Trump wrote.

"The Board of Peace has unlimited potential. Last October, I released a Plan for the permanent end to the Conflict in Gaza, and our Vision was unanimously adopted by the United Nations Security Council. Shortly thereafter, we facilitated Humanitarian Aid at record speed, and secured the release of every living and deceased Hostage. Just last month, two dozen distinguished Founding Members joined me in Davos, Switzerland, to celebrate its official formation, and present a bold Vision for the Civilians in Gaza, and then, ultimately, far beyond Gaza — WORLD PEACE!" he said.

The board's creation was endorsed by a United Nations Security Council resolution as part of the Trump administration's plan to end the war between Israel and Palestinian terrorist group Hamas in Gaza.
Israel and Hamas agreed to the plan last year with a ceasefire officially taking effect in October, although both sides have accused each other repeatedly of violating the ceasefire. According to Gaza's Health Ministry, more than 590 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli troops in the territory since the ceasefire began. Israel has said four of its soldiers have been killed by Palestinian militants in the same period.

While regional Middle East powers including Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Israel - as well as emerging nations such as Indonesia - have joined the board, global powers and traditional Western U.S. allies have been more cautious.

Trump did not detail which member nations were making the pledges for reconstruction or would contribute personnel to the stabilization force. But Indonesia’s military said Sunday that up to 8,000 of its troops are expected to be ready by the end of June for a potential deployment to Gaza as part of a humanitarian and peace mission. It's the first firm commitment that the Republican president has received.
Rebuilding the Palestinian territory will be a daunting endeavor. The United Nations, World Bank and European Union estimate that reconstruction of the territory will cost $70 billion. Few places in the Gaza Strip were left unscathed by more than two years of Israeli bombardment.

The ceasefire deal calls for an armed international stabilization force to keep security and ensure the disarming of the terrorist Hamas group, a key demand of Israel. Thus far, few countries have expressed interest in taking part in the proposed force.

The Oct. 10 U.S.-brokered ceasefire deal attempted to halt a more than 2-year war between Israel and Hamas. While the heaviest fighting has subsided, Israeli forces have carried out repeated airstrikes and frequently fire on Palestinians near military-held zones.

It is not clear how many of the more than 20 members of the Board of Peace will attend the first meeting. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who held White House talks with Trump last week, is not expected to be there.

Trump’s new board was first seen as a mechanism focused on ending the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. But it has taken shape with his ambition for a far broader mandate of resolving global crises and appears to be the latest U.S. effort to sidestep the United Nations as Trump aims to reset the post-World War II international order.

Many of America’s top allies in Europe and elsewhere have declined to join what they suspect may be an attempt to rival the Security Council.

Trump also confirmed that Thursday's meeting will take place at the U.S. Institute of Peace, which the State Department announced in December it was remaining the Donald J. Trump U.S. Institute of Peace.

The building is the subject of litigation brought by former employees and executives of the nonprofit think tank after the Republican administration seized the facility last year and fired almost all the institute’s staff.
