Trump Signature Set for US Currency in Historic First

U.S. paper currency will bear President Donald Trump's signature to mark the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, the Treasury Department said Thursday, a first for a sitting president, while deleting the Treasurer of the United States' signature from U.S. money for the first time in 165 years.

The Treasury said in a statement to Reuters that the first $100 bills with Trump's signature and that of U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will be printed in June, followed by other bills in subsequent months.

The Treasury's Bureau of Engraving and Printing is currently still producing notes bearing the signatures of former President Joe Biden's Treasury secretary, Janet Yellen, and Treasurer Lynn Malerba.

Malerba will be the last of an unbroken line of Treasurers whose signatures had appeared on U.S. federal currency since 1861, when it was first issued by the U.S. government.

The signature change is the latest effort by the Trump administration and its allies to put the president's name on buildings, institutions, government programs, battleships and coins. The design of a commemorative gold coin with Trump's image was approved by a federal arts panel whose members he appointed.

Bessent said in a statement that the move was appropriate for the U.S. 250th anniversary, given strong U.S. economic growth, financial stability and "lasting dollar dominance" during Trump's second term.

"There is no more powerful way to recognize the historic achievements of our great country and President Donald J. Trump than U.S. dollar bills bearing his name, and it is only appropriate that this historic currency be issued at the Semiquincentennial," Bessent said.

An effort for a circulating $1 Trump coin was set back by laws prohibiting the depiction of living individuals on U.S. coins.

A statute governing the printing of Federal Reserve notes gives the Treasury broad discretion to change designs to guard against counterfeiting. The law requires keeping certain elements, including the words "In God We Trust," and only allows portraits of deceased individuals.

The overall designs of bills will not change, except for Trump's signature replacing the Treasurer's, Treasury officials said.

In all the media hysteria today, I haven't heard anyone make the parallel point that we have a bartender in Congress.

Not a bartender, but a tavern wench.

Trump called into the five on Fox yesterday (3/26/2026) and man was he raging on her every time her name came up or he got a chance to bring her name up. Said the show would be better without her.

House Republicans Just Shut Down Senate DHS Funding Bill – Here's What They Introduced Instead

House Republicans are blocking a Senate-approved bill that would end the partial Department of Homeland Security shutdown and instead are pushing their own 60-day funding bill.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said there are not enough votes in the House to pass the Senate bill, which has angered conservatives by omitting funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol.

This comes as air travelers are experiencing long lines and lengthy waiting times at airports. Many Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers have either refused to show up to work or have quit because they have not been receiving their pay.

The Senate approved its bill early on Friday morning through a voice vote. It sent over a narrow package to fund the TSA, Coast Guard, and other DHS agencies. But they did not include ICE and Border Patrol because they could not get enough support to pass it, with Democrats opposing the measure because it did not include sufficient reforms to immigration enforcement agencies.

Johnson and his allies are reportedly furious about the Senate bill. They are weighing whether to “ignore the measure altogether and instead send their own bill back to the Senate,” according to CNN.

Thanks wbc, I completely agree to a tee. These people do a great service to our country telling it like it is. They do a great job bringing up a lot of content that no one else does.
So many are oblivious, sadly. I despise gb and have for decades.

See my last post in the Minnesota Fraud thread.
Here

If they can't get it done now then they never had any intention of going after her. If they have no intention of going after her (she's the lowest hanging of the low hanging fruit) then they have no intentions of going after anyone in the swamp with any real consequences in mind. Putting Don Lemon in jail for a day or two is not draining the swamp. There will be no lasting change as long as we allow enemies of our country and criminals have a voice within our own government. I realize things take time crossing T's and dotting I's and all that but we all have been waiting for any level of accountability for anyone who conspires against this country for a long, long time. In Omar's case this shouldn't be a long extracted process.

The king thing is so hilarious. Trump was elected. Harris was crowned queen without one vote. The hypocrisy is so thick it is unreal. These king marchers might as well be marching to the volcano.

I know more than one plumber that would do a better job in Washington than all the Democrats, but the thing about Mullin that Kibble left out is this:

In 1997, he took over a family plumbing business with 6 employees and in about 14 years, he turned it into the largest plumbing company in Oklahoma. He also founded 7 other companies on top of that and turned them into a successful VC roll-up that he sold in late 2021 in preparation for his Senate run.

There is nothing wrong with being a plumber, but calling Mullin a plumber is about like calling Donald Trump a construction superintendent. It's stupid, like his audience.

He also competed in MMA (at a low level), so he is more accomplished, in every way, than Kibble. And much more of a man.
