I support others having a different viewpoint on this even if we disagree. Everyone I talked to this morning was there for the same reason as I, to get rid of trash and deplete the gun grabbers funds. |

We Are...MARSHALL
| Congrats Bayouman! It’s very kind of the Wisner foundation to give you and your friends extra cash to spend on new firearms! It’s also cash that they will not be spending to try and destroy our nation. They will certainly tout what a successful event they sponsored and all the lives they saved. Naturally they were going to do that regardless if they bought any guns or not but who cares about that minor detail. This evening they’re happy, you’re happy, your friends are happy, your dealer is happy, the state is happy with the sales tax generated, the scrap metal dealer is happy, I’m happy, almost everyone is happy so good deal! Enjoy your new weapons. Also if you get a chance please let the Wisner Foundation know about what a difference they could make in WV with a similar buyback.

| If I'm ever eligible for a gun buy-back program like this one, I have a Rohm 22 Short revolver (aka Saturday Night Special and worst pistol ever) ready to donate towards the cause. |

| I was at a gunshow this weekend(Fond Du Lac), at least one guy had an empty rocket tube for sale.
I wonder how much uproar and $$$ an ‘inert’ rocket tube would bring? |

I saw that, too. I was thinking of offloading a dinky pistol and using the money to get a P365. Oh well. |

And probably didn't get a single legitimate tutn-in. I'd call that a great success.

That is so awesome. Not joking here - you really should write an op-ed in the local paper to let people know how idiotic these gun buy-backs are and list all the reasons. I went to one in Phoenix about 10 years ago, where they were giving $100 gift cards for a local grocery store. Of course, the cops ran out of gift cards pretty quickly and several folks were offering $100 or more in cash before the gun-turning-in people could reach the tables. Some of the guys in our group got some decent guns for $100 - a Russian Makarov, a Ruger Mark IV and plenty of others. I don't care whose money it is. If it's taxpayer money, that chaps my ass, but it's not like I can stop a liberal mayor or police chief from doing stupid things with it. So I might as well try to get some of it back, since they took it from me in the first place. |

Don't think you'll see that. OP, well done. Glad some gun lovers were able to unload some junk and gear up with some new stuff. If they did one local to me for that amount or close, I know of 2-4 guns that would be "off the streets for the chirrin" but rapidly replaced with 2-4 new quality firearms. |

In Seattle, everyone shits their pants. A few years ago, one showed up and was confiscated and turned over to the Army. https://www.oregonlive.com/pac...er_turned_in_at.html"A nonfunctional missile launcher was among the weapons that showed up Saturday at a gun buyback event in Seattle. The military weapon was a single-use device that had already been used, SeattlePI.com reported Police say a man who was at the event bought the surface-to-air missile launcher for $100. It was confiscated by police, and they replaced the weapon with a gift card." |

Full of Win!!!! That's awesome. My buddy did the same thing with a completely junk K22 that was in a field for several years and unrebuildable. |
