As I mentioned somewhere else this can affect scouting both boy and girl scouts as some liberal might get offended and state what is being taught is paramilitary.

Also watch, as I predict that the term paramilitary will replace assault in the liberals assault weapons terminology and be used more to describe weapons, tactics, gatherings, schools, classes, etc.

We have to make a stand now !!! God Bless Smile

Good luck with that stand. When the D’s have the governor, state house and state senate locked up, they do what they want. We have that same issue here in CT, and I doubt we ever get it back. With a D in charge of election, they always seem to find ballots and keep polls open late or whatever is needed to make sure they win.

VA is headed the same way.

It will take litigation to overturn them.

Redistricting will mean that they have Senate and House for next thirty years. We don't have the votes before they redistrict, afterwards no chance.

The voters knew what was on the line, VA spoke up and said feeling safe is way more important than being safe.

We are fucked.

100% correct.

It isn't new residents moving in - though that doesn't help. It's apathetic conservatives who refuse to be bothered to vote. The very first four people I talked to at work the day after the elections - all of whom are conservative - were just too busy to vote. "I meant to, but didn't get around to it."

It's the way it always is. Conservatives are the worst when it comes to voting. Used to be they were the most enthusiastic. Now you have to give them electric shocks to get them to show sings of life. I've read it here on this forum in years past from Virginia residents who wrote "If there isn't an ultra conservative on the ballot I won't vote." Then there is the apathetic stoic types who just want to leave things to fate. "Whatever." And there is the type who is afraid to vote conservative because some low-life baby-butchering oxygen-thief might call them racist. [Listen sweetheart - they will call you racist no matter what.] And the very people that don't vote are the first to complain.

Then there is the republican party in Virginia. It is simply the clusterest-fuckingest cluster-fuck that ever fucked a cluster. They simply are AFRAID to say who they are. The lot of them are worthless. If any of them are reading, let me remind you of some things about the Republican party:

The party of Abraham Lincoln
The party that ended slavery
The party that wrote the Emancipation Proclamation
The party that ended Jim Crow
The party that took on the KKK
The party that authored and passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964

And you let baby-murdering democrats define you as racist? And you don't fight back? And you won't vote? Fuck you all right in your fuck faces.

If a new revolution is ever to be fought, it will be as it was in 1775 to 1783. It will be fought by a tiny fraction of the population who actually care while the rest sit with their thumbs up there asses.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Just how am I to become well regulated in a militia?

What they are saying, in 100 percent certain terms, is that the American Revolution would today be illegal. I'm sure the British felt the same way.

There are over 5,600,000 registered voters in Virginia. 2,300,000 total voted in 2019 elections. Scarcely 50% of registered voters even bothered to vote. This is a lower percentage than 2016, 2017 and 2018. In the 2016 presidential election, Hillary won Virginia by a mere 220,000 votes. "Other candidates" like independents and libertarians got that much. Anyone really believe the ones that didn't vote are all democrat? Republicans have the numbers to win. They have to get off their lazy asses and vote.

And the sorry ass Republican party of Virginia has to put candidates on the ballot. Republicans failed to run any candidate at all in over 1/4 of the races.

Democrats have a 1 seat advantage in the state senate and a 5 seat advantage in the state house. That was a winnable election.

People have to start caring. Otherwise, they get what they deserve. The mealy mouthed republicans have to state who the hell they are and what they represent and take the fight to these evil, baby-butchering, drug-addicted sots that call themselves democrats. We have to let the Northern Virginians who are attached to the government nipple for their livelihoods and can't manage their families without slave-wage latin nannies and gardeners know they can't shove their filthy lifestyles down the throats of decent people.

Until republicans and non-caring conservatives grow a backbone, they can just suffer what they've allowed to happen.

Your only hope for the foreseeable future is the court system. Personally I fail to see how it could possibly be legal/constitutional to ban people from engaging in a legal activity (i.e. training). If that were the case, how come the Dem's in Virginia aren't banning under threat of punishment Islamic extremism being taught as the connection between that training and violence is readily provable?

Some pictures people have posted of the crowd supporting the hearing at Virginia Beach. They can fit only so much in the chamber room but saw pictures of that being full too. It was also posted that so many people outside that police had to block off some streets outside near the court building. I was not able to attend, but am part of the Facebook group for this and these are some pictures posted. God Bless !!! Smile

Just an FYI. In Florida, if this many people showed up for a public meeting, the ruling body would be required to reschedule the meeting to a new facility that could handle the head count. That's required by law. If its the same in Virginia, these folks should have forced that meeting to be shut down and re-scheduled. That would have made it even more newsworthy.

Welcome to Virginia 2019. My incoming chair of the BOS posted to her Facebook how she would personally undo a legally adopted board policy when she “Takes power” in January
