My own coffee preferences are pretty simple: if the spoon falls over in the cup, it's too weak.

"Dark as night, hot as hell, sweet as love" I was told by some Persian students years ago. Except not so hot, and absolutely not sweet. No white stuff.

Major Dickerson is a rare treat hard to find in my area. We grind the beans as needed.
Mt. Rainier Espresso Gold, Morning Slammer, Rocket, Sumatra Dark, Columbia Dark, all have their place. There's other smaller regional shops that turn out decent bold versions.

Ran across "3 Pearls" a couple decades ago. Very substantial blend. After several major Indonesian earthquakes and several supply chain constrictions, the local shop closed down for local economic issues.

A buddy has suppled a variety of the Hawaii best, Kona, he sez. Even his rigidly controlled French Press method didn't help for my crude palatte.

You can order it online direct from Peets.

Also carried at Walmart/Sam's Club.

And it looks like Peets has 16 coffee shops in Oregon, though 14 of them are in/around Portland. (The other two are in Klamath Falls or the Albany/Salem area, inside Fred Meyer stores.)

Yes, and at a very reasonable price. That's where I order mine from.

I live in the Tampa area and splurge on a nice Cuban espresso or a Cafe con Leche on occasion. But my regular is just the Pacific Bold from Costco, does the trick.

I get all my beans from a local roaster, Corter Coffee. The owners are husband and wife, he was a sniper in Afghanistan, and she's about the nicest person I've ever met. And the coffee roasts the do are damn good.

If you use an American Express card, they currently have an offer of: $10 back when you spend $30 at Peet’s online. This offer can be used three times, and is good through May of 2024.
In the AMEX app, you must “add” the offer to your card.
