What do wish you would have learned but didn’t? For me it would be computers. I know as much about computers as I do speaking Mandarin.

Cartography/GIS I always wanted to learn it or take courses in it but life got in the way. I have looked at taking college courses and so much of it sounds like a foreign language.

I wish I had learned to play guitar while my father was alive. I'd like to know how to weld, as well. There ain't much difference in the man I want to be and the man that I really am.

Cue the music... "regrets, I've had a few..." I think my strongest regrets are when I fail to be the person I now know I could be. The rest of my life I am spending to purposely take every opportunity to say "I did it my way." ------- Trying to simplify my life...

Welding. Wish I would have learned to weld, and do metal fabrication. _________________________ 2nd Amendment Defender The Second Amendment is not about hunting or sport shooting.

Nothing yet, but only because I believe I still have time. Welding is at the top of the list of things I want to learn though.

Welding was one of mine. Watch a few videos, and teach yourself. As for other regrets... well, how much time ya got... I bought one of these for $150 bucks at Harbor Freight. It is not a Lincoln or a Miller, but it gets the job done. With zero experience, I built a grappling hook out of old commercial mower blades to get unwanted grass mat out of the lake behind my house. I pulled literally tons of material out of the lake with the hook attached to a tractor, and didn't break it. I'm self taught, so I would not use it for chassis fabrication where my ass was in the chassis, I would not do it for an overhead lift where I might be under the load. That said, I will make and repair things around the farm that make my life better and easier, and I learn a little bit each time I do it. YouTube helps a lot. Get an apron, gloves, helmet, wirebrushes, and grinder and go to it. You will be surprised at what you can do for $200 all in. Si. It could have been the only useful takeaway from my high school career. Instead I opted for Latin. I'm such a dumbfuck sometimes. BUT there's still time. Life is full of second chances.

Nothing really since there is always time to learn new things. We live in an age where you can learn just about anything you want, resources are available and usually free or low cost for most things. Think about how many things you know that were self taught? For me, long range shooting, hand loading ammo, auto repair, carpentry, plumbing, auto HVAC, minor home electrical, small engine repair, Bible knowledge. I have had no formal training in any of those. I learned from reading, videos and doing.

Nothing, if I want to learn it, I will. It's not as great as it sounds. if you want to learn Spanish, this'll get you there. https://www.learner.org/series...oduction-to-spanish/ _____________________________________________ Proverbs 3:31 "Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways."

Gawd, me too. Latin instead of Spanish, which would be useful, French, which is beautiful, or German, where I was stationed would have been good ideas. Latin? Fuck me. All of the "welding" made me laugh. It's also one of mine. Oh, I have a 110 Hobart and I've welded a number of things here around the farm and they hold up alright...they just look like crap. A few years back we had a family reunion here and one of my nephews who is a metal fabricator up in the city asked to see my machine after I was blaming it for the lousy weld jobs I had done. He looked it over and noticed some 1/8" stock I had laying around and asked if he could give it go. I said sure. He changed out the spool I had in it, fiddled with the dials for a bit and proceeded to weld probably one of the most beautiful welds I have ever seen. He looked at me, grinned and said.." it ain't your machine Uncle C". .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.
