I've tried to change/delete the stupid FB avatar several times over the past week + and checking my most recent post to see if it worked...it hasn't. The FB avatar is gone from my profile page, it does not appear...for me anyway, in this thread, BUT it still shows up on my previous last post. I imagine, your help here indicates the FB avatar is showing up HERE on your screen...in spite of it NOT appearing on my screen .....

I do not see a picture OR avatar on either of your recent posts.

Unfortunately, i fear most of the photo threads are dead and gone now across a lot of forums. Never knew how many people used photobucket til this shenanigan.

I was trying to look up a few how-tos that linked me to various gun forums and all i got were photobucket flags of various "pay for 3rd party hosting" and "click to see photobucket's features" or whatever.

Problem with some of my photos in various photo threads is that i dont remember which picture i posted, or where i have a copy of that pic anymore (i deleted my photobucket account completely.)

I deleted my PB account a few days ago, but my photos continued to show until this morning. Now, it's showing the "Photo Not Found" thing, and I'm thinking that will be permanent unless I can figure where I've posted pics.

Most of the threads will disappear in time, but I put a lot of pics in the Cat Thread. Any suggestions how I can clean that up?

I had to get rid of my POW Flag but this one is better.

Maybe I could get some help in uploading a more unique avatar later on

They are just threads with pictures, rarely does anyone go back and look at 400 pages of pictures, my guess is they had a megashidton of bandwidth not serving any revenue stream, hotlinking may provide hits to the site but no clicks and ad revenue is the companies game.

I don't blame them for wanting to recoup some of the costs of hosting images worldwide however the way they did it, and the amount they charged, stupid....

IN the end they clean up quickly the excess bandwidth use, eliminate a major expense and start over....

One of the reasons that Tapatalk is good, The app lets you buy storage of images/videos, cheap, you can post them right from your phone to the board in the message, eliminates this problem and makes it easier to upload images, so you don't need a third party hosting site.

Any way to add photobucket to the banned words list so the stuff doesn't get posted?

Has anyone had any issues uploading to Tinypic today?

I've tried uploading three different images, in two different browsers, with and without my AdBlocker turned on. The upload either errors out or I get "This image had been moved or deleted"



I'm wondering if the other Photobucket shoe is about to drop (i.e. Tinypic going down or getting throttled in some way.)
