I bought a Ryobi 40v self-propelled mower a couple years ago and it's been great. It came with a single 7.5AH battery but it will hold two. A 2nd battery would have cost another $150 or thereabouts, so I passed. If I start with it fully charged it will do both the front and back yards before it quits.

I have nothing against DeWalt, and I'll definitely look at that. It's just that there are a lot of the big battery drills, impacts, saws, etc. out there, and I don't care about having my lawn mower battery work my circular saw. At least I didn't think I did.

About to start year 4 on Ryobi 40v push mower. Completely pleased with it. Also have the 40v powerhead with string trimmer and pole saw, pleased with them as well.

My 2 stroke backpack blower still works fine, but when it dies, it’ll probably get replaced with more 40v.

Ego self propelled here also no problem. Since I went with Ego, I also bought the trimmer, and blower.

I have a self-propelled Stihl and it is just okay. It replaced a Honda and the Honda did a much better job of actually cutting. The Stihl leaves little tufts of grass uncut here and there so you have to overlap quite a bit, making it take longer. You can’t change directions quickly as it has some electronic safety that stops you from pulling it backwards when you disengage the power. It can hold 2 batteries but only one can power it, making the 2nd battery spot useless in my opinion. The batteries work in our trimmer so that is a plus but based on performance, I cannot recommend the Stihl.
