Well they just lost me, I'll never pay for streaming services to outlets that I already pay money to through my Sat Service with DTV. WTF would anyone pay for ESPN + on top of paying for ESPN through DTV...

Shame always enjoyed watching it, guess since MT TV may go the way of the dodo, they needed a new provider.

Walworth, Wis. – March 19, 2025 – Mecum Auctions, home of The World’s Largest Collector Car Auction®, is excited to announce a multiyear agreement with ESPN for live streaming of Mecum events on ESPN+, the world’s No. 1 sports streaming platform.

As the ultimate destination for all things sports, ESPN+ is not your typical car platform. This strategic agreement will enable Mecum to connect with a wider audience of viewers, broadening the car enthusiasts’ community while bringing Mecum’s audience to the popular streaming platform.

Mecum Auctions will make its ESPN+ debut March 20-22 at the Mecum Glendale auction in Glendale, Arizona. Each of the three days will feature six hours of auction coverage on ESPN+. ESPN+ will stream all 11 Mecum events live for more than 180 hours of programming.

Hey, I got something exciting for ya:

Bring back Speedvision. I don't give a damn what LeBron is doing this week.

What a crock of shit. More people will not watch a pay service over a free service. Mecum will get more money, but not more viewers.

I rarely watched a Mecum auction because it seems like less than half the vehicles actually sell. I lost B-J when we dropped DTV for YT TV. Now I guess I have none.

There's a Mecum Auctions channel on Sling that runs continuously. The auctions are a year or 3 old but classic cars are classic cars so it's fine.

You're going to need to invoke "Varsha" and "Speedvision" to get any real vet street cred. Wink

My favorite Mexican restaurant always has the auction on the big screen tv.

I find it paradoxical,
It's
Close to enthralling to see a percentage of the beautiful vehicles ,
But
I get taken a back on a regular basis by the amounts of money gets exchanged.

Trouble with ESPN+ is that it's bundled with Disney+ and HULU. I'd buy it by itself for La Liga and the Bundesliga but they eliminated that as an option several years ago.

Motortrend the channel is effectively dead. No new content, all of the hosts are expanding their YouTube channels.

ESPN+ may very well have been just picking up content in a fire sale, and Mecum may not have had a lot of options.

They always have reserves on the items, so "the bid goes on". Guess we'll see how "the bid goes on" for the stream! I'm not a player!
