Bob Lee Swagger used sugar, it's been used for centuries to treat battlefield wounds...

Glad your pup is on the mend.

Love the expression in the last image, kind of 'What did I do to get this stupid thing around my neck'....

Ordered the New Zealand Manuka for dogs, it says it was the last one

Our Lucy has some sort of skin dermatitis, usually on her shoulders and she can scratch some nasty wounds there. We have a prescription that mostly keeps it in check but there are still occasions that she will have a flair up

Manuka honey is also good for helping scratches/scrapes/cuts on my old man thin skinned diabetic legs. I use Absorbine silver honey from TSC or Amazon.

I had my patience tested... I'm negative.

The image of the wound is heartbreaking to see. I cannot imagine what you've gone through and not really know what caused it. Glad the honey is working miracles towards a full recovery.

FWIW, we're on our 5th Rottie, great family dogs.
