Several years ago an available FBI stat was that a black male in USA was 1400% more likely to commit a murder than a while male. But stats like this are hard to locate these days.

To me it’s obvious, and just one of many things—policies and practices—that have led to the present state of the Nation. It’s not as obviously vote buying as the effort by Biden to “forgive” education loan debt, but that’s what it is: “Vote for me and I’ll treat you and yours right, no matter how wrong it is.”

But it’s not just the “minority” populations that are keeping prosecutors and others like that in office. There was an opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal about “suicidal empathy,” or the tendency of a large part of the populace, and often a majority, to believe that anyone who claims to be a victim of some injustice should not be held accountable for his actions or at least should be given preferential treatment at the expense of everyone else.

We occasionally see calls to change how Muslims think and view non-Muslims, as if religious tenets that were drilled into them since childhood can be changed by saying, “That’s not right.” Many political beliefs are equivalent in nature because they are based on faith, not knowledge and reason, and there is just as little chance of changing them.
