Helldivers 2 is a popular online game. The phrases writted in the cases are common phrases used while playing the game in that chat area. Discord servers are used for communication with other players. According to the press conference investigators discovered that Robinson was communicating with someone on discord regarding the shooting, and retrieval of the rifle. His room mate provided screen shots of the messages to investigators of this communication/messages.

I would immediately close Utah State University pending an investigation of every professor the shooter interacted with. I can't think of anywhere else in Utah a young man from a similar background would be radicalized other than college.

Here at Camp Rudder open house, they do allow the public to fire that weapon. There is a line 100 yards long.

Really? Utah State in no Columbia. Than are many other factors here that come into play. Give it some to determine a motive.

Dude is seen wearing a DSA shirt. A Halloween costume of him riding Trump. It's fairly fucking obvious the motive.

If it detects activity that would be considered suspicious, push a notification out to a person or group of persons that could a) view a live feed of the activity and 2) provide GPS coordinates of the exact location. Surely that has to already exist, and at a price point accessible to private persons?

There are drones that can do all of that. There are drones that can stay on station for 10-12 hours, fire Hellfire and predator missiles. But, without a .gov budget, they are out of reach.

Besides, I believe that drone use is about to change drastically. There is enough Hamas support, enough Ukraine support, and wide open borders that offensive use of drones in assassinations are the next step in this country. And drone defense definitely isn’t in the budget of the private sector.

And that little bastard is toast. The roommate will seal his fate; those text messages.

No insanity defense, no plea deal. Momma's precious scored high on his SATs. He's sane.

The state should try him. Utah's method of execution is lethal injection, but the alternate method is the firing squad. THAT would be justice.

Pretty obviously a political assassination. It's unlikely Charlie cut the guy off in traffic. The assassin probably wasn't radicalized at home, but I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it was his educators. Our media is vile enough to get a person headed down the path to violence and the internet is a cesspool. A firing squad would be incredibly righteous.

A 15 second battery change and I’m back in the air for another 30 minutes. I’m just saying it’s something to consider realizing most of these types of shootings happen from an elevated position. You can hire 30 people to stand near the speaker but all they are going to do is stop someone from rushing the stage.

At the very least they need to clear the buildings before the event and then keep people watching every entrance.

It's easy to Monday-morning QB this incident, the reality is having active security takes money, lots of it. I know one of the EP guys that worked with Jordan Peterson when he was on tour, he used a basic 2-man executive protection (EP) team, their concern was the immediate surroundings around the principal and was focused around avoidance. Preventative security, like overwatching venues and site security takes A LOT of manpower, as you not only have the EP team around the principal but, persons roaming the property, persons positioned in key locations, persons doing verifying and coordinating, how many local on-duty LEO are being hired, how many specialists are being hired. Even if you have a drone flying around trying to spot suspicion, you still need somebody to coordinate and the available bodies to react to any findings WITHOUT reducing security from other areas. It all takes lots of funds, it requires lots people and because Kirk's events I believe are free, there's not a lot of revenue to resource from.

Not familiar with the game however, some of his posts seem to be some latent homosexual repression and lashing-out? Is this somebody possibly on the spectrum who has trouble dealing with his internal urges and how it fits with the world around him?

Just shut the fuck up and go away, governor. Nothing you're saying has any meaning whatsoever. I listened to your stupid bullshit yesterday and I listened to it this evening, and I don't want to hear another word from you, ever. I'm sure you mean well, but I don't care. This is not what the public needs to hear right now.

Really? Just like that, shut down the entire university? Did the kid interact with every single professor there? Even if he did, which is extremely unlikely, why do you need to close the university to carry out the investigation? The professors are not going to just all take off.

I’d like to see him tried and convicted by the Feds. Then some of his fellow inmates could redeem themselves by dispatching him quickly and properly. Then President Trump could grant them a blanket pardon.

That couldn’t happen if he was tried by Utah.

I’m noticing a large number of teachers, school officials, bus drivers, etc that have been “suspended pending disciplinary review” for online postings in the last 24 hours. My feed seems almost covered up with it. And a quick search seeks many are legit.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm
