have no experience with broken washer lines. do have experience with broken toilet feeds. shut off water to entire house when away.

As does mine. However I think the pan is there if the washer itself somehow leaks. If the hose hanging from the wall or the value itself goes there will be very little to no water that makes it into the pan.

I have never turned the valve off. If we are gone for more than a day I will turn the water main off.

I turn off the master circuit breaker and the water everytime I leave for more then 15 min. I run the fridge off solar just because. Razz
