Hockey pucks hurt when they hit unpadded body parts. I had one crack the toe cap on a skate once. Definitely would not want someone throwing them at me. This has merit if the shooter is a goalie. By nature he'll try and stop every puck and be so distracted by the utter elation of not being scored on he will forget why he even walked into the room. For anyone else, the shooter will be more pissed off. I'll take the free pucks. I can put them to much better use than the majority of these folks. I agree that probably the majority of the kids d teachers wouldn't even be able to effectively huck them at the shooter.
