... since 1/20/21, our enemies were already laughing.

Now they laugh so hard, they fall on the floor and can't get up.

Cheesh.

Yup. Never knew the word "zampolit", but after reading the thread title, immediately thought "political officer".

I'm ok with this. I think the myth that we sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand guard on a wall was put to bed as so masculinely toxic that I just never. Now we can be assured that our guardians are really representative of the broad community and are able to reach their full potential while having assurances that they will all be promoted in accordance with their grievance and will all have work-life balance that will allow them to reach their social potential.
And push ups are so boomer-retro anyway.

Fuck me.

As long as you can do the job, they don't care what color you are, is what I always thought.

No. This is the worse news you've read all month....SO FAR!

I've been out of the AF for 27 years but I lead a Veterans group at work so I have some contact with active duty. Our local Army unit had a diversity and inclusion role a couple years ago and the guy came to speak at my employer. He was getting to the end of his career and I told him he could easily find employment with his background in the private sector, D&I is really big in my field. So, I would assume the other branches had them too but I would not expect it was needed in the SOF community. When USSOCOM posted this on Linked in I refrained myself from commenting but others did not.

Mr. Torres-Estrada has nearly two decades worth of experience working diversity and inclusion programs and activities in federal agencies.

So, hasn't been productively employed for nearly 20 years. Great candidate. Roll Eyes

I've been out of the Army for 25 years, and I'm making the joke because of two things: 1, we were always jealous of the AF because they had nicer bases and facilities than us; and 2, because the Army (and the rest of the services as I observed them) were the most successfully integrated, equality of treatment oriented organizations I have ever been involved in, bar none. If that was the case 25 years ago, I imagine it is even better today.

Integration and equality in the military are some of the greatest social successes in this country's history, and I am proud of what has been achieved.

If there's an organization that DOESN'T need a D&I Officer, it's an organization that has been nailing the essentials of D&I for 3 generations.

Almost, but not quite April 1st.

After the debacle of Operation Eagle Claw and the effort put in to making American Special Forces the best in the world, the fact that anyone would allow the SOF community to be infected with this bullshit is beyond my ability to comprehend.

Where 'Diversity & Inclusion' is missing is Pro Sports- NBA, NFL, MLB etc.

Give them a taste of their own medicine and ram diversity + inclusion down their throats.

We have a SecDef who ordered a 60-DAY STAND DOWN so everyone could review 'Extremism in the Rank' with a disproportionate & fixated focus' on anything 'conservative' or, 'right-wing'.

The Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman, a respected CCT who served in JSOC with a very good reputation, thinks, because the lower ranks are questioning the one-sided narrative being repeated in the mandated DEI 'struggle sessions', that its evidence that extremism is a problem in the military.
