Well it's not going to say "We had nothing we needed to do, so a bunch of us engineers just made up some stuff so we can tell management that we are busy and can keep our jobs and so we can screw with your phone settings"

iOS 26.3.1 (a) just showed up on my iPad.

First time I can remember them using letters in a software version.
