So my 8yo has discovered the joys and awesomeness of duct tape and has been trying to build "forts" upstairs in his room.

While he was running out of cardboard and tape so dad (me) decided to get some boxes from Uhaul and grabbed his gorilla tape and help.

Then it took on it's on life and we no longer have a living room.

Not sure what I am going to do with it, my wife asked and I told her the Christmas tree should fit so it was staying until at least orthodox Christmas Big Grin

Need to grab a taller ladder from the garage, even with my 3 step ladder the boy cannot see out of the tower

please excuse the mess

He wants a 2nd floor, trying to figure out how to do it.

His idea uses card board boxes like columns...told him I would look at it but we may need plywood.

Curl it into a log to make a post. Not a pipe, but a log. May require some cutting.... I remember helping an architecture roommate in college with ideas on a corrugated board chair. It can be pretty sturdy.

Awesome! Now put a TV in there. I can think of no better place than a castle to watch "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" with your boy.

Looks really cool, but what you need is a moat under the drawbridge.

Thank you, I spend a lot of time away due to work and don't get to do some of the things with him I would like.

This quarantine, while terrible for many, has been a great time to spent with the family.

And thank you for the ideas, rolled log type supports, TV and Python and a freakin' moat.

Totally blaming SF on this one.
