Fifty-six years late even if it went into service THiS year....playing catch-up with aviation history is not something that the US of A is used to doing.

And for sns3guppy, it was shitty runway maintenance that killed Concorde, not lack of engines.

Isn’t the history making part the lack of an audible sonic boom for people on the ground? Was the Concorde capable of that? The last time I saw a Concorde, it was giving rides to Canada where it was allowed to break the sound barrier over land.

some great cockpit videos shot during test flights - my favorite was the one where they deliberately induced flutter into the systems to see how it would respond

that some serious flying going on there
