If you have served or are serving, or if you have family member(s) who did/do the same, you are eligible. Thank you all for your service and sacrifices. Winner will be picked on Veterans Day. Good luck. Pics or stories you care to share would be appreciated. The gun: West German P228, KE (1994) date code, triple serial numbered, original and in excellent condition. It comes complete with the manual, test target, and 2x original 13-rd dovetailed mags, in the gray plastic SIGARMS case. If you happen to live behind enemy lines, 10-rounders will be substituted for the 13-rounders. *** WINNER = Yellow Jacket *** This message has been edited. Last edited by: 12131, Q

Hooray! Thank you for the opportunity! Both my pics and my stories are boring. That's the AF life. Being a member of SAC did not allow me to have the cool deployments or duty stations of TAC personnel. Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed. Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists. Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

Would love a chance at another of your most generous Karma’s. My father served aboard the USS New Jersey BB-62. Wait, what? |
Please include me in yet another awesome karma. My father served in the navy in between WW2 and Korea. Thanks for the chance at this generous gesture. The date code puts it in the same range as the guns I transitioned to from a revolver back in 1994 which is kind of neat. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

My daughter is now full time Army NG, and she would love it! Please include me. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed. Q, I qualify, but please don't include me, as I've already won a P228 from you. I just want to take a moment and express my appreciation for your outstanding generosity on SIGforum. The kindness you display is a thing of wonder and legend here. I will always remember the great things you do for deserving ones. On top of that, your posts are entertaining and spot on. Your contributions to discussion are always fun and informative. Thank you for making SIGforum more of a family than just a forum. H&K-Guy

Now and Zen |
Father was in the Navy, was one of many when a atom bomb was tested in the South Pacific, grandfather went to the border with Pershing’s Punitive Expedition against Pancho Villa, he was on a train bound for New York to go overseas when the armistice was signed. He eventually attained the rank of lieutenant, I have his visor hat. And I just recently found out about a great great grandfather on my father’s side who served in Company B of the Indiana Volunteer Infantry of the Union Army during the Civil War. ___________________________________________________________________________ "....imitate the action of the Tiger."

I'm Different! |
Wonderful karma. My grandfather was a WWII US Navy vet. He served in the North Atlantic. He left my grandmother & 2 children (my father & aunt - other aunt was born after the war). He would never discuss life at sea (he worked on the boilers); he would only talk about life on base. The story of his that I remember the most is he remembered the cooks carrying a large pot of hot dogs & spilled them on the floor. He said after that, he ate elsewhere for about a month, but then decided to eat at the mess hall & send the money home. He had a weird, but great, sense of humor that I unfortunately inherited. I still miss him. “Agnostic, gun owning, conservative, college educated hillbilly”

Get my pies outta the oven! |
Thank you, I'm in! Was US Army 1991 - 1995 Even though I had a 98 out of 100 ASVAB score and could have been anything I wanted as far as available MOS's, I chose to be a 94B Foodservice Specialist, aka "Cook" as I had always wanted to be a chef someday. Well, I loved it and worked my ass off and did very well at it. My Soldiers always ate very well in our Dining Facility! Got out after 4 years and went right to the Culinary Institute of America which has been described as "The West Point for Chefs", which wasn't too far off the mark as when I got there, it was still pretty strict and regimented and I'd joke with people that it was like being in the Army again, just with different uniforms!
