My 12Pro has been goofy charging but I was thinking the chargers are bad or a bad battery. It charges fine from my truck while on the road so I might be affected by the "clean" bullshit too.
I just checked my setting and I can't find these clean energy options.

Thank you. I probably would not have been aware of it otherwise.

Go into settings

Type "Battery" into the search bar.

open "Battery Health"

Open "Battery Health & Charging"

4th setting down is Clean Energy Charging.

Push slider off

My iOS is 16.3.1

Can I set mine to 'coal fired'?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I was just wondering this morning what was going on with my phone. I ran it nearly dead last night and forgot to plug it in. I had to go somewhere when I got up and the half hour it was on the charger only got it to maybe 30%. That should have been way more. Sure enough, this setting was on, and now that shit is off.

They're gonna force this clean energy bullshit into every aspect of our lives and at some point, it won't be optional. Mad

I’d like to know how this is supposed to know when the grid is using solar or wind? I call bullshit on the entire thing, it’s just more nonsense in the name of “green.” Roll Eyes

From Apple

"When users have Clean Energy Charging enabled and their phones connected to a charger, the device gets a “forecast” of the carbon emissions produced by the local energy grid, according to Apple. This data is used to charge iPhones during times when cleaner energy production is occurring."

Even if this works perfectly, the impact of charging a phone is minuscule in the theme of things. Make it so Al Gore's plane will not start and now you've got something.

I turned this silly feature off right after the last update.

It's an option.... More the better for the most part.

You have the option of easily turning it off... it's 4 taps.
But, it should never have been set to "ON" by default.

NO option that could compromise the performance of the phone in any way should be "ON" by default. IMO.

Endeavor to persevere.
