I am a real pessimist when it comes to the Mariners. Comes with the last twenty years I guess.

Yep, we'll see what the true character of the team is after this series. I'll settle for taking 2 out of the 3 games. It's getting to be crunch time.

Jim

I just need to keep telling myself this is about the best year we have had in almost a couple decades. I do like somethings about this team too.

Since I complained that the Rangers stink, they swept the Astros, split a pair with the Diamondbacks and are wailing the tar out of the Orioles, lots of double digit offense.

Maybe they don't stink, just smell funny now.

I wonder what happened since the A’s left town?

Beats me, of course they’ve run hot and cold most of the season. It’s like all the offense woke up and decided to go to work. I think that sometimes gives the pitchers added confidence, so they’re better. One key guy the last couple of games is Odor. He seems to relish being the nasty fighter that just will ruin the other team’s day.

The A's left a little bit of magic behind so the Rangers could beat Houston and tighten the race.

LA needs more than what Texas can do for them.

The Rangers aren’t very good, but there are occasional rays of light.

How cool must it be to grow up a Red sox fan, hating the Yankees, to make it to the big leagues and hit 3 home runs in your first game at Yankee stadium, with your whole family in to watch?

Ronald Guzman, 23 yo 6’5” first baseman, did that last night.

That's the year my wife was born. She grew up in Ellicott City. So, she's been an Orioles fan almost as long as you!
And... my nephew, drafted by the Braves, has now been traded to the Orioles!
