I don't have much in regards to defensive ammo. I have 100 rds of HST 124 gr 9mm, and a little less than 400 rds of Speer Gold Dots 124 gr. Also 100 rds of HST for each .45acp and .380. For ARs, 200 rds of Hornady TAP 75 gr for home defense.

As far as FMJ, that is a whole different story; thousands, and for some calibers, tens of thousands in regards to round count. If I run out of TAP in my ARs, I have over 10 cases of XM193 at my reach. That will tear up some souls.

My BIL, who ironically now lives in Dallas, is married to my screaming libtard sister. He was in town and happened to follow my brother and I into my gun room, and when I turned around and saw that he was with us his eyes looked like he'd just seen a kitten rape. He then broke his gaze away from the guns and ammo and asked me "Why do you NEED all this?!"

I just looked at him, smiled, and said "Need? Pfft!" and my brother and I laughed until he left our presence.

The 124gr, is that the one that has a soft core and expands some?

I have way more target than self defense ammo, need to fix that

124 grain "NATO" is a hot-loaded fmj. There will be a headstamp of a "+" sign in a circle and the primer will be crimped in. The cartridge case is not plated.

I do about 10-20% defensive ammo, depending on the caliber. I don’t let my defensive ammo ever drop below 10% of my stockpile. I don’t hoard anything except ammo. I’m a selective hoarder. With ammo I can never have enough. Well, if I had a warehouse full, yeah that would do.

That’s what I’d say too. I’d label it more SHTF ammo. Not defensive, but better than most 115 target ammo which tends to be the cheapest.

All my 124gr NATO is true NATO ammo with the head stamp.

I probably have a few hundred in each of the main calibers I shoot. I can't see ever going through that much in a defensive situation. If I need that much, shit has really gone downhill. At that point, I have enough range ammo to keep going and I'm sure it will work well enough.
