I was disappointed by the O's short appearance. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

October 2034 or until Reinsdorf is no longer on this side of the ground. Definitely worst owner in sports. Like the Blackhawks in the NHL, they had to wait until Bill Wirtz died before they put some money into putting a winner together. The Blackhawks ended up winning 3 Stanley Cups in the 2010s. _____________

Agreed. Padres have my rooting support now that my Astros laid an egg and are out. Not many teams of interest to me this post season. _________________________ "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. Why I always root for the Padres. My uncle took me to the very first MLB game I attended, the Padres and Dodgers at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego when I was 4 or 5 years old. This was back in the day when Ray Kroc owned the Padres and on Sundays if the Padres won, everyone who attended the game got a free Big Mac. The Padres fell short in a 9th inning rally, no one got Big Macs and I've hated the Dodgers ever since. Fast forward to 2005 when my little brother was killed in Iraq. Christopher was a Navy Corpsman assigned to the 1st Marine Infantry during the Battle of Ramadi. He was born at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego and was the youngest certified umpire in the State of Colorado. As part of his internment ceremony in Arlington, the Padres sent dirt from the pitcher's mound at Petco Park to be used. Then for opening day that spring of the Padres vs. the Rockies, they donated the fully stocked and staffed owner's suite at Petco Park to my family. For that I will always be grateful and will always root for the Padres even when they play my Rockies or Diamondbacks. My daughter can deflate your daughter's soccer ball.
