I’ve seen bags of these pretzels around for a while now but never picked any up because they were kinda pricey. They’re just pretzels after all.

Wrong. These things are noticeably different from any other pretzel I’ve ever had. Extremely buttery, very salty, and even a bit of pepper/spice. Sorta have a hint of powdered cheese too. Do not expect anything like a regular pretzel though.

Definitely worth a try.

I’ve only tried the regular homestyle version.

58 years on th is earth and never heard of them until my Daughter brought some when visiting from Iowa.

Never been that big of a pretzel fan, but they are DA BOMB!

Definitely salty/spicy, which is great because they become self-limiting after a pretty small amount for me, otherwise I would do the bag in one sitting.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

A few bags showed up at the office a while back.

They were gone quite quickly.

The Southwest flavored ones are where it’s at. I picked up four bags at Target today for the office.

Southwest are okay. Original are where it’s at. Found them years back in a road trip. Struggled to find them when I lived in Communist Washington.
Now that I’m in the free land of AZ, they happen to be everywhere. Love some Dots.

The Safeway cashier recommended them to me, and I really, really like them. They are expensive, but you do get a full 1 lb bag, unlike many other brands that have downsized. They are definitely different than any other pretzel I've ever had. I eat them along with bagel chips, or with chex, or with mixed nuts, so only a small handful at a time. They add a nice flavor addition to the mix.

This forum makes me spend extra money! I have never heard of them and I just looked and it appears my HEB grocery store does not carry them; they carry Snyders, which I like. So I just ordered two bags on Amazon and they will be here tomorrow.

You're likely done with Snyder pretzels now.

I’m pretty sure they originated in N.D. That’s where I first encountered them anyway. I’d bring home a bag every couple weeks, couldn’t find them anywhere else. Now I’m seeing them everywhere here in the northlands. Salt garlic and cayenne pepper flavors.

Another N.D. thing to keep your eyes open for is Grubbers Caramel Popcorn, you will never again accept substitutes.

We discovered them about 5 years ago up here in Rapid City. We always have a bag on hand for happy hours. Ace Hardware carries them in their stores.

One of the few quality products you can’t find at HEB. As info Target carries both the regular and Southwest flavors. It’s the only reason I set foot in the store.

Apparently so. From Amazon’s description:

“10 years later, Dot’s homestyle products are still made in small batches. Each and every bag and bar is individually hand-packed in a small North Dakota farm town. Our candy bars and buttery pretzels are crafted with love for the best flavor in every bite.”

SigForum’s advice is uncommonly good. So even though I’ve never tasted Dot’s Pretzels, and I’m not generally a fan of pretzels, I just ordered ten 1.5oz bags of ‘em for $16.99:

www.amazon.com/dp/B07SWZTTKF/r..._api_i_rNOqFbT2SNCG7

Most Tuesdays I go to Shake Shack for a Shack Burger. I also get a 1.5oz bag of Miss Vicki’s potato chips to eat with the small burger. Now I’ll try Dot’s Pretzels instead.
