Tradesmen are welcome. Probably a good percentage of the more than 800 homes in the gated community earn their living that way, including me. The by-laws are pretty specific. No long-term parking of boats, trailers, RVs, nor trucks with commercial signage. Out of the more than 800 homes, most of which are occupied by their owners, the one that I'm bitching about is the only consistent violator of this rule. By "consistent," I mean every day. Every. Fucking. Day! This renter has been approached by an HOA board member (who I know personally, and who is not an HOA Nazi), and asked, very diplomatically, to please park the truck in the garage, or at least in the driveway, not on the street every night and all weekend. The response was basically, "Go fuck yourself." So no, we "fancy people" do not like that sort of person in the neighborhood. We like living in a friendly, or at least non-belligerent, atmosphere. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

I can't park my van in a garage, it's too tall. I'd be barred from your neighborhood and many in my area. It's a double edged sword for me. I can't stand looking at beat up run down vans and bitch about it constantly. Living in what I call Central America 2.0 with 10 people living in a house and three work vans parked out front plus a beater truck and a couple of 20 year old Hondas sucks. The neighbors across the street from me (awesome people) wanted a bigger house. Three BR 1,100 sq ft was not cutting for the wife and her kid. The three of them moved into a larger down the road and rented his house out. The new renters have, three work vans, a pick up truck, an SUV and one or two cars. No teenagers live in the house, a couple of kids under 12 years old. I wonder how many people are living in that tiny house? I can see it from both sides as a tradesman and the downside to having tradesman live in your neighborhood. I hope they don't renew the lease, I hate taking multi point turns to get out of my driveway. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

Benny, I’m glad to hear he is gone. Did the whole family leave, or was it just the kid? I ask because if the whole family is gone, good riddance. If the kid moved, and mom is still there, it’s only a matter of time before he is asked to vacate his new place of residence and is back at mom's house. Either way, enjoy not having the creepy little shit in the neighborhood. The “lol” thread

You would not be barred from our community (gated community, everybody knows about the HOA before buying here). It would be neighborly on your part to refrain from parking a commercial vehicle on the narrow street here on a daily basis. If it won't fit in your garage, how about at least parking in the driveway, instead of on the street? I have wondered, many times, why the original developer did not set aside some land for parking things like work vans, trailered boats, RVs, etc. Make this common property, owned by the HOA, with monthly parking fees payable to the HOA. This would solve a lot of problems, and provide a convenient solution for many homeowners and renters. Controlled access to the parking area with gate codes, individual to each parking space renter, so that they only have access if their rent is paid. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Go ask him again, get a woman to do so and since you're outside, set the phone on record, get the plate number and name on the van, once he starts telling people to fuck off, record it, call the roofing company and find the boss send it to them. Of course Roofing companies are full of assholes like this, most being lower than used car salespeople, if that doesn't work, social media, his name, address, company put it on their facebook page. So I went back and read where he's in violation of the rules. Simply file a complaint against the owner of the property, screw the management company they are giving you the BS on overnight for public streets, you have private streets with a gate, the HOA gets to determine parking, speed, everything once you gate. So get everyone to complain in writing to the officers of the HOA include pictures, date, time, force them deal with it... Squeaky wheel gets the grease, They can probably fine the owner for him parking there as well as other bylaws such as being a nuisance regarding his behavior, get his verbal assaults on real owners on video. Fine the landlord, it's his property as owner it's his problem to pay the fines. We have one rental property here, renters were nightmares, landlord was an asshole. Took me all of a few letters regarding the HOA's intent and fines, once he spoke to an attorney the place straightened up... If all else fails go get two beater F450's park them in front and back so he can't get out without damaging the company truck, lock them, and walk off.. When he bitches tell him you can park wherever the fuck you want, and to go fuck himself...

Yeah, that M14 video guy... |
The mom is still there. The Indian lady told me that the mom said her son didn’t like living with her. We’ll enjoy the peace for now but keep on the lookout. He knows he was being watched. At one point he drove by and paused by someone’s house for what seemed to be no reason. I think he was checking out one of the wives who was doing yard work. I walked over and asked her if anything strange happened and she didn’t realize he was there. He was still in his car but parked in front of his house now and he saw me talking to the woman and looking at him. I went back to my house and set up my video camera and pointed it straight at him and left it running. That was the last time I saw him. He didn’t like it there. We didn’t like him there. Now he’s gone and we’re all happy. Tony. Owner, TonyBen, LLC, Type-07 FFL www.tonybenm14.com (Site under construction). e-mail: tonyben@tonybenm14.com

Everyone has said avoid HOA neighborhoods if at all possible. Sometimes its not. I had a cousin (really my mothers cousin) who was a plasterer. The old fashioned kind, with horsehair mixed in and wood lath behind it. Some of his uppity new neighbors didn't like living with a commoner, so they complained to him. He laughed and said it was how he could afford to live with rich pricks. I hadn't paid a lot of attention, but his truck was kind o shitty looking. But who the hell was I, just the kid from outside the neighborhood who cut grass for a reasonable price. But then he allowed he'd had that truck for way too long anyway. So he went to the dealer and bought a brand new truck to park in his driveway. The neighbors stopped complaining when he pointed out the truck cost more than their cars. Unhappy ammo seeker
