Yes that is the issue.

Are they all ghetto as hell or is it just my local one?

My Popeye's is Indian owned. The ladies that run it are super nice and try to feed you like your grandma at a family reunion.

Never been so I wouldn't know.
Daughter says it's really good but I don't do fast food really.

I'm not a fan of any fast food places, that said, if I'm desperate, Chick-fil-A is my choice.

Waffle house's grilled chicken sandwich does me just fine now and it comes with their glorious hash browns.

That's another great thing about CFA that seems to go unmentioned, the management and service.
I think I'm the next county or so from you but ours has had the dining room back open for months. The drive through goes around the building and sometimes has start of a second lap layer.
They have somehow organized their system with the employees outside to take orders, collect payment and keep things moving. The employees have the necessary communications equipment and payment systems for our new world.
They have areas for people to park if there order is delayed at all or a large pickup so it doesn't slow things down. You can usually do an entire lap around in about the time the others take to service 2 to 3 car lines.
The entire workforce seems to be of a higher grade than other similar fast food operations and that also contributed to the quality and efficiency there.

Couple hours at least. Just eyeball it.

It's a really good recipe IMO that supposedly clones the CFA spicy sandwich. I can't confirm it as I've never had one of the CFA sandwiches, but I can confirm that it is tasty.

CFA has decent food and an amazing work ethic for employees but a local Publix supermarket makes an amazing fried chicken sub. Granted they are strips of solid white meat and not a one piece chicken breast.

The only bad thing I have to say about the one I go to is, damn! It's 45 minutes away from my house!

So I've heard, will have to try one if the drive thru line gets as short as CFA's! Wink

I can't imagine a better run drive-thru operation than CFA's. Seriously, I don't think Porsche's or BMW's assembly lines run as efficiently as any CFA drive-thru I've been to. Give them a try. You will be impressed.

A Chickfila opened by me a while back. Went once or twice, never did much for me. Because of this thread, I went today for lunch. Got the spicy chicken sandwich deluxe meal. It was okay, maybe even good, but that's it.

There's a Popeyes by the one of my properties I self manage, so I occasionally go there for lunch. I've had their chicken sandwich. I remember liking that better than what I just had at Chickfila.

A Popeyes is about to open near me. So I could conceivable get a sandwich from each of them. I may try that, and see how I like them back to back.

Wendy's spicey chicken sandwich is very good. It's what I typically order when we get fast food from them.

Love chick fil a, and ours is pretty good, usually very long lines, but they move fast.
They have people outside guiding the traffic, for either parking or the drive thru, and then have at least two people taking your order and payment right there.
Usually no more than 10 minutes max before you pull up to get your piping hot food.
They have a good system going, it flows smoothly.

The only CFA sandwich I like is the grilled chicken--I dislike the fried version.

But that grilled sandwich with waffle fries and diet lemonade is our to-go meal of choice (if not going to Rubio's).

Spent a few months Chick-fil-A HQ in Atlanta. Guess what they serve in the company cafeteria every single day?

I like Popeyes because of the red rice and beans and the chicken isn’t bad either. Pretty common airport fair for me when I was traveling.

Popeye's is about the only drive through/Fast Food type food I eat. I'm not being a snob, I just never leave my house. The closest Popeye's to me is right next to Chick-fil-a, and does have the stupid double line with some kid on a computer...

I take that back, I take my dogs to Arby's sometimes.
