If not, why not?

If so, why do you carry, what do you carry, and where do you carry it (I'm assuming all carry is done legally).

On me, G19 where I legally can I've had a Concealed Handgun Permit here in Louisiana since the La State Police started issuing them over about 22 years.

I do.

Simply put I carry because I want every advantage I can get if I need to defend myself or my family.

I carry a Glock 19.

I carry whenever and wherever legal.

Yes, Sig 320 compact 45, whenever possible and it's always in my vehicle when not being carried.

I carry because I have a duty to protect my boys and myself at all times.

Pretty much all the time. Lately since its hot a G43 in a tuckable IWB holster.
Winter when I wear a sweater or light vest most of the time a G19 OWB.
On the farm, fishing, etc a LCR22 in my pocket (4 rat shot followed by 4 solids)
Jogging or walking I'll carry the G43 or a LCR38 or sometimes my old crusty trusty S&W 637.
I also carry a KelTec .380 for a "NY reload" in my pocket in a pocket holster as well.

I've had a CCW license since 1996 when they started issuing them in Arkansas. Now as a TN resident I have a lifetime TN one.

All the time. Normally my G32 with tlr7 iwb. I’ve been trying pocket carry with my P365 this weekend and not warming up to it. Will probably switch back to iwb carry. Been carrying for almost twenty years since i started in l.e.

Mostly carry a full size 1911 in 10mm but sometimes opt for Commander size in .45acp or 38 Super. Been carrying for over 50 years but I am now at the age where I am viewed as an easy target for those looking for an easy mark so I carry to even the odds.

90% of the time I will either have an Elsie Pea in my pocket or the G27 when it's easy to conceal (usually in cooler weather) plus always an extra mag...when I'm driving, add an AR pistol with extra magazines to the mix (in the RAV4 out of sight under the rear lift up storage area)...if I'm not carrying concealed on my person , it's because I'm somewhere it's not allowed like the Post Office, courthouse or some such place...

Shit, I carry the LCP when I'm home Big Grin

In Utah, I carry everywhere and always with one exception...when I'm road cycling.

Weapon of choice is a GGI Sig P229 Elite in .357sig. Been carrying since 2007. Why? Because I value my loved ones, my life, and my freedom.

Told cops where to go for over 29 years…

Yes, pretty much at all times.

Why? Because bad shit happens a lot more frequently than most people realize and as much faith as I have in the cops, I know that I am on my own should that shit happen to me at least for the time it takes to get reported and for them to get there. For almost 26 years I have been telling cops where to go and they get there too late in the vast majority of cases to stop the bad shit before it happens.

No blame on the cops, that is just the way it works when the cop per citizen ratio in this country averages about 1.2 per 1000.

What? I carry a variety of guns depending on mood, weather, circumstances. Carry guns are mainly P320, P938, P30SK, and will soon be adding a P365 into the list. For special occasions I may take a P226, P229, VP9, P30L, or 1911.

For those special times of unrest, turmoil, or urban uprising I also keep an AR pistol (5.56) and a MPX (9mm) handy in discreet cases. While you can’t have a loaded rifle in your vehicle at any time in WA state, being a CPL holder I can have a loaded “pistol” in my vehicle. I carry legally but am more than happy to exercise any available “loophole” to push the odds in my favor.

How? Carry method is varied depending on what I am carrying and where I am going. Generally pocket carry for the P938/P365, IWB or OWB for the P320/P30SK, OWB for the P226, P229, VP9, P30L, and 1911.

Additionally I frequently carry any of them off-body in a “man bag” sling pack over my shoulder or across my chest. I have two such bags, one a Coach leather job and the other a smaller pack built for CC but looks more “metrosexual” and doesn’t scream gun like a Maxpedition or similar black Cordura “tactical” pack/bag.

For the MPX and AR pistol, they are in backpack sized carry cases and generally go in the trunk or back seat.

I frequently carry at home, as I don’t “disarm” when I get there. While I do generally take my pants off at home there is always one within reach as in addition to the carry gun I have others strategically located around the house. Being “empty nesters” it is easy to do without worry of them being located by curious youngsters.

With extremely few exceptions, guns are never left unattended in the vehicle unless it is in a secure location. Also I never transfer a gun to the trunk or am seen “hiding” something in the car where it is parked. If the guns are going to be in the car, they are where they are going to be before I get to where I am going so I can simply park, get out, lock, and walk away.

Yes - because it's the only way to ensure one is 'within arms reach'. I don't have to remember where I've 'stashed' firearms or constantly move them when people are coming over. They also double as my 'car / truck gun'.

Glocks IWB.

Any time it is legal, strong side IWB or OWB, my main carry is Glock 22, but 17 sometimes. Followed by SIG P220.

Then if I need a smaller weapon, a Glock 27, SIG P6, or HK P7 PSP (which is also my BBQ/dress up pistol),

I also sometimes carry my Beretta 96D, but not much. Sometimes I might carry my Smith and Wesson model 10 or Ruger GP 100. The last three rarely because no night sights and I really feel that a self defense weapon should have them.

Why? Because I don't want to be a victim if I don't have to. I want the option to protect myself and loved ones and any innocent persons that I can.

I have several different IWB and OWB holsters for each, depending on dress, weather, activity and just how I feel.

In the house there are several AR 15s at strategic locations and in my vehicles are a beater AR 15 and/or Remington 870 riot shotgun and extra ammo.

99.9% of the time you’ll find my LCP2 in my front pocket loaded with UA Extreme Defenders. If not, it’s my XDS .45 IWB.

Currently, a P320 45 Compact. Many years of police work demonstrated the need to be armed at all times. Since I am retired, I no longer need to ride to the sound of the guns. And the circumstances in which I would resort to its use would have to be very dire.

Any time I'm off my property, and sometimes while ON my property.

7 or 8 months a year, I carry an S&W Model 60 OWB cross-draw. I'm left handed and carrying on the left side while in the car is not practical. Rather than remember which side it's on, I carry it the same in all situations.

Winter time I go a little heavier with either a P220 in .45ACP or an S&W 66 stoked with .357 JHP.

"Do you carry firearms on or about your person?" I do, as does my wife.

"If so, why do you carry?" Personal defense.

"What do you carry and where do you carry it?" Current EDC is a Gen 3 Glock 26 with a grip reduction and stippling job that fits my hand perfectly. Happened across it at my local range. Otherwise, its a Glock 19 - current one is a Gen 4 Front Slide Serrations model.

My wife's EDC is a Gen 3 Glock 26.

Both of us carry IWB at 4:00. I will switch to OWB carry during the fall/winter months depending on cover garments.
