Mrs. PHPaul commented this morning "You should do something to dress up your plain, white truck. EVERYBODY has a plain, white truck."

After I picked my jaw up outta the dirt, I started thinking about it. While I'd gladly rock an Eagle/Flag full tailgate skin, she's not gonna go for that. Something a tad more subtle, but still enough to find my truck in a sea of white trucks.

Size-wise, I'm thinking something that'll fit on the door or perhaps between the back of the cab and the rear wheel. Something patriotic without being too "in your face".

Suggestions and sources appreciated. I'm guessing it'd be best to have the skin professionally applied, yes?

Hah! Big Grin

Back when I was a volunteer firefighter, our Chief was a dyed-in-the-wool Ford fanatic. We bought a brand new first line pumper, built on a Ford chassis. He was bust-yer-buttons proud of that truck!

Now, I know it'll come as a big surprise, but I have been known to be something of a smartass on occasion. In this case, I just couldn't resist. I got a brand new piece of plexiglass cut to license plate size, put a nice big red Bowtie decal on it, and screwed it to the front bumper. Unless you looked VERY closely, it looked like the decal was applied direct to the bumper.

The first time the Chief walked by and noticed that, I genuinely thought he was gonna stroke out. Went off on a huge rant about defacing the new truck and how it was going to mar the bumper getting it off, etc.

I don't think he ever did see the humor in it, but most of the rest of the crew was blowing snot out of their ears trying not to laugh.

Of course, it took him about a picosecond to figure out who did it...

Or a simple pin stripe, they are easy to do. Taught myself years ago. I believe you can still buy them at auto parts stores. Maybe a thick black one or Ford blue

Maybe something like this? But on the bed. A lot of options for that type of decal.

Every where I go there’s four or five silver grey F150s.

I put a 4”x3” chiefs anchor decal on the back glass, left side, top. And one on the front windeshield at the top right.

It’s subtle. Doesn’t look like anything gun/politic related

Then I painted the trailer hitch fire red. Now you can tell where my truck is anywhere I park. Backed in or not.

Thinking it would look kinda cool with some C stripes...

and racing stripes that carry the hood, roof, tonneau, and tailgate.

Either that or a roots blower sticking 12" out of the hood Mad Max style.

PHPaul,
A neighbor of mine down the street has a HD 2500 all white, slightly lifted pickup. He put Star Wars Storm Trooper decals on it (in a tasteful way).
One trooper is low on the tail gate above the hitch and it looks like he peeled the sheet metal up and is looking at you. I think it's really cool and I like his truck.

Best regards,
Mark in Michigan
