Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg's campaign on Saturday will begin a massive voter outreach push, with plans to hold more than 2,400 events across 30 states ahead of Super Tuesday, ABC News has learned.

The mobilization drive, beginning as the rest of the Democratic field remained focused on the South Carolina primary, is a show of force meant to highlight the scale of Bloomberg's nationwide operation.

With Bloomberg appearing on primary ballots for the first time on Tuesday, his 2,100-person campaign's effort will complement the overwhelming advertising campaign he's waged on television and online. He's spent more than half-a-billion dollars since entering the Democratic primary, at an average of more than $5 million a day.

"Our unmatched organization will be in full display this weekend as we continue to build on our momentum and talk to voters about Mike's record on critical issues like health care, climate change, and gun violence prevention, and why he is the strongest candidate to defeat Donald Trump in November."

In addition to new national television spots this week touting his record in City Hall and knocking President Trump's response to the spread of the coronavirus, the Bloomberg campaign has aired ads in Super Tuesday states tailored to local issues and audiences – from public lands in Utah, to women's reproductive rights and the El Paso shooting and gun control in Texas, according to a campaign official.

The campaign is planning to dispatch 75 surrogates across the country to rally organizers and volunteers, including former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, former Miami Mayor Manny Diaz and Bloomberg's longtime girlfriend Diana Taylor, who will be campaigning for Bloomberg in California, Utah, Arkansas and Alabama.

Despite his staffing and advertising advantage over some of his opponents – Bloomberg has 200 offices around the country and more than 100 in Super Tuesday states – the former mayor still faces a challenge next week, as he seeks to make a dent in Sen. Bernie Sanders' delegate lead and pull ahead from the rest of the still-crowded field.

A recently resurfaced interview from 2017 revealed presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg supported President Trump just a few years ago.

During his interview on The View, Bloomberg told viewers that even if they didn’t vote for the president, they should get behind him. He said, “In the end, the public has spoken, whether you like the results or not.” He added “we’re a democracy” and that “we need this country to run well.”

Bloomberg went on to praise President Trump’s 2016 campaign, noting that he didn’t have to spend a lot of money during the race.

“Maybe it shows all the money in the world can’t buy an election,” he said. “Donald Trump showed that you can get elected President of the United States without spending a lot of money.”

Qulity reporting from OANN.

The Rain Man of politics gets the cold shoulder at a Black church in Selma. (Notice that Jesse Jackson is there for the camera. I wonder how much that cost Bloomin'?).

(Video at Link)

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news...in-selma/ar-BB10Bhxt

A group of churchgoers turned their backs on Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg as he spoke at Brown Chapel AME Church, a historic black church in Selma, Alabama, on Sunday.

Footage and images that have since emerged online show a number of protesters standing with their backs turned away from Bloomberg shortly after he began delivering remarks from the pulpit on Sunday morning, the anniversary of "Bloody Sunday."

Despite the demonstration, Bloomberg went ahead with his remarks, part of which focused on his proposed Greenwood Initiative, which aims to promote "economic justice" for African Americans and his "commitment to prioritizing criminal justice reform," according to a release from his campaign.

"Dr. King understood that the right to vote was only the first step in the march to true equality, because true equality means that wealth in this country should have no relation to race or ethnicity. That's what my Greenwood Initiative is all about," he said Sunday.

"You may know about Greenwood, in Tulsa, Oklahoma - but until a year ago, like so many other Americans, I did not. Greenwood was a thriving and prosperous black neighborhood, until a white mob attacked and destroyed it back in 1921. More than 200 African Americans were killed," he continued.

"It was one of the worst tragedies in American history," Bloomberg said. "But sadly, it was just another instance of black families being systematically robbed and exploited, something that didn't end with slavery - but continued with Jim Crow and redlining."

"In today's reading from Isaiah: 'Do right, seek justice, and defend the oppressed' was the call to action. That's what our Greenwood Initiative resolves to do," he added.

He also discussed issues like voter suppression and took aim at President Trump during part of his remarks, saying he believes "the wrong person is living in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue." Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and former Vice President Joe Biden, a leading Democratic presidential contender, were also in attendance.

Bloomberg's appearance in Selma on Sunday comes just two days before primary day in the state on Tuesday. That day, which will be the first time voters will get the chance to cast a ballot for the former mayor, 15 other nominating contests will take place across the country.

His efforts to expand his campaign's outreach among black voters also arrives as he continues to face heat over his controversial stop-and-frisk policy from his time as former mayor of New York City.

Once again Michael Bloomberg has demonstrated his utter contempt for the common man and a complete tin ear. He is, of course, more important than any of us, and he isn't afraid to tell us so.

I got 3 different pieces of mail from his campaign. I put them exactly where they belong, soaking up a huge pile of barf from my sick pit bull.

Thanks Mike for helping with the cleanup!

Well, yes his life is more important than ours. He’s filthy rich and super smart and he needs to be protected so that he can tell us what we can and can’t do.

Hell, some people where he lives might be grateful that someone is making some kind of excuse and willing to stand the heat for being fulla shit.

I thought his answer was hilarious, because he didn't want to say yes, but he said that yeah, he is more important than you.

Fuck you Mike.

https://hotair.com/headlines/a...ling-view-mike-drop/

After Joe Biden’s decisive victory in South Carolina on Saturday, Mike Bloomberg’s campaign advisers lobbied Bloomberg to drop out of the race and endorse Biden before Super Tuesday, four sources briefed on the internal conversations said.

Some of the sources said that campaign manager Kevin Sheekey and other top campaign officials argued to Bloomberg that the best chance of beating Donald Trump in November would be for Bloomberg to exit the race to bolster Biden’s candidacy as Biden battles with Bernie Sanders for the nomination. “There is a prevailing view Mike should drop out,” one Bloomberg adviser told me…

“It’s clearer than ever after the weekend that it’s over and thus he will risk making Ross Perot and Ralph Nader look good if he stays in this,” a person close to the campaign told me. A Bloomberg adviser told me that Bloomberg would consider dropping out after Super Tuesday if there continues to be no path. “He’s not going to stay in and say, ‘Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.’”

but that is not what Bloomberg himself is saying in every interview

Of course he thinks we are all dumb, that is his MO. Talking out of both sides of his mouth. I have stated earlier that he is done and nothing has changed to make me think differently. Once he concedes he will just take his money and concentrate it on anti-2A. He may be able to do as much or more damage by pouring his money into taking away our rights when it doesn't matter if it hurts his chances of getting elected. As soon as he drops out he will dial up the rhetoric.

Send it without postage or return address. The Bozoberg campaign would have to pay the postage due. Smile
