I find myself being drawn in to watch tonight, sort of like a train wreck.
One of the others was on when I was channel surfing but it was so boring and just a bunch of ridiculous and similar statements plus all slamming Trump.
This one could be interesting and it'll be interesting to actually see how Bloomie holds up when they all pile on.
Also want to see if he calls out how stupid the others claimed positions are and how none can possibly beat Trump.
On the other hand, I could just tune in for the news and watch the "highlights" to save a lot of time.

I was browsing new thread titles on Reddit a minute ago and one that's trending now with 4000+ upvotes and over 200 comments so far reads:

quote:
Try to get hired by the Bloomberg campaign and see how long it takes them to fire you for doong nothing.

quote:
The Bloomberg campaign is spending a ridiculous amount of money, paying about 3x market rate for campaign operative jobs that pay through November even if he drops out... they range from in person jobs to posting on social media. Might as well try to get some of the money before he lights it on fire. Not to mention free phone and laptop.

I was thinking the same thing, but there is bound to be a considerable amount of dead air. I figure I can catch the highlights here later and save a lot of time.

Bloomberg:

I’ve run for office three times and won each time, in no small part because I’ve never stuck my finger in the wind to decide what I should believe. It’s not who I am, nor do I think it’s what voters want in a leader. They want someone who levels with them, even when they disagree, and who is capable of offering practical, sensible, and ambitious ideas — and of solving problems and delivering results

xxxxxxxxxx

"I’ve never stuck my finger in the wind to decide what I should believe"

so why are you renouncing a dozen things you said less than a year ago ?

And why did you change parties so you could run again?

God bless America.

Bloomberg is a lifelong, card-carrying, dues-paying member off the Opportunists Party. Traditionally a Democrat, he ran as a Republican to win the NYC Mayor's race so as to avoid debating the other Democrats. Don't know why he switched to independent later on. Now he's a Democratic again.

You were close. Bernie, and especially Warren, tore into him but good. At one point Warren actually had him looking like he desperately wished he was somewhere else. Biden got some in, too. At one point they showed a rather long shot of him alternately gripping and releasing the top edge of his lectern with his right hand, and shifting that hand back-and-forth along that edge, in obvious agitation. Buttigieg and Klobuchar left him alone for the most part.

Missed on that one. They showed a long shot of the row of lecterns from Bloomberg's end of the row. He also appeared to be the shortest of the candidates from a front shot. So it doesn't look like they did anything to try to downplay or hide his height.

Not glued to the set here but I saw that Mitch Mcconnell got a lot of attention which can only give the much maligned Turtle that much more traction and clout. Thanks for putting him in the spotlight, dumbasses.

Well, I tuned in to watch "Twelve Angry Men" last night and only got six. Two of them were women.

Condensing two hours of babble into a single sentence: "Donald Trump is a meanie, and we're going to raise your taxes through the roof to pay for shit we think you should be required to have."

All in all, pretty poor entertainment. But it's what we've come to expect from the clowns at NBC.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

I watched for entertainment value, Mayor Mike was a big loser. One pundit says Warren won, I didn’t see any winners, besides Trump.

More of the same, drivel for the uninformed lefty voter.

I heard yesterday BERNIE didn’t get a real paycheck until he was 40? I secretly root for him cuz he’s such a nut.

None of them are exciting enough to stimulate voter turnout. I’d like to see Trump STEAMROLL whoever comes out on a shaky top.

Uninformed? More like non compos mentis. A vote for these clowns doesn't imply a lack of information but rather an abject lack of cognitive ability.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

This just shows you how arrogant Bloomberg is - with all his money and advisors, they either didn't advise him to be ready for that line of questioning or he thought it wouldn't come up.

He was shredded, nearly non-stop. Fun to watch them eat their own.

I think the other candidates made it abundantly clear Bloomie is NOT one of their own.
