Also agree - originally all in for Cruz (still love him) but Trump proved to be superior.

You and me both, darth.

Yep. At the very least Cruz needed toughening up, and the past few years seem to have shown him that he needed toughening up. It'll stand him, and perhaps the rest of us, in good stead somewhere down the road.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, November '22 and November '24 loom before us and the battle is well and truly on.

Cruz needed more than toughening up. He needed to wise up. He made some incredibly stupid decisions that made him look like a buffoon. The Cancun trip is just one. Lately he has kept quiet which is a good thing.

I have nothing against Cruz I guess, except that during the primaries in '16, every time he spoke he just reminded me of one of those TV evangelists.

Doesn't matter, even if she wins by 1.4% now. AK's non-partisan primary system has the top 4 vote getters advance to the general election in Nov.

First election that we've had this. Top 4 vote getters in the primary go to the general election. Then it's a ranked choice voting system where you rank candidates from most desirable to least desirable.

Right now I'm looking at it and not liking it. We have a special election to fill the remainder of Don Young's term in addition to yesterday's primary. The democrat Mary Peltola is leading with 35% of the vote. Republicans Palin with 31% and Begich with 21%. So yes, a representative gets elected and sent to Washington while only receiving 35% of the vote.

I'm a Cruz fan but you're all correct about his mistakes. If my wishes come true and Trump is President again....Cruz is my choice for AG ! Mike Lee as a Supreme CT justice.

How can you be so sure?

Who is the one-heartbeat-away Vice President of the United States right now?

If Liz Cheney is ever our president I will buy you the vehicle of your choice. That’s how sure I am.

It was my understanding though that if Begich drops out, all his votes go to the number two on his voter's choices. That would seem to indicate Palin.

PowerSurge, that's pretty sure.

I was almost that sure that B. Hussein O. wouldn't get elected to his second term.

Just in case, I'd like a Razor scooter! Smile

Why? Since when do the dems care about a candidate being qualified, capable, or even coherent? obama, biden, and harris aren't qualified to be county dog catcher, but they were/are at the top levels of government (on paper, at least).

Just because cheney is a duplicitous hack who got her butt served to her does NOT mean her political career is over.

They require real support in order to have a political career. Who in the hell is going to support Liz Cheney for anything now? Loser.

Not the Democrats, and not most of the Republicans. I don’t think that’s much of a career in this country. Certainly no libertarians.

She got played hard.
