Fighting the good fight

| Very cool. If you're ever in the Springfield, Missouri area, there's a smaller NRA firearms museum there, inside of the flagship Bass Pro Shop store - the NRA's "National Sporting Arms Museum". It's smaller, with only ~1000 guns compared to the ~3000 at the National Firearms Museum you visited, but it has some cool stuff. https://www.nramuseum.org/muse...ing-arms-museum.aspx |

Optimistic Cynic

The NRA HQ range in Fairfax VA is actually pretty nice, clean, good air handling, friendly and competent RSO's. Distance limited, more suitable for pistols and carbines than long range rifles. There is a test (easy) to get a range card that is good forever. $20/lane, and you can shoot as long as you want if nobody is waiting. Ammo and targets available for sale, but no rental guns. Closed Tuesdays for club events. Overall, a very decent place to shoot. |
