My brother is the exact polar opposite of myself, he's a very likable fella, 12 years my senior . Anyone have thoughts for a cable that hooks to this phone , so as to get any pictures I might be taking? the cable for my camera does not fit the phone Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Well, after 10 day's w/ this new phone, I've decided that the best thing for me would be ,a flip phone for 75% of my day to day usage, and this new fangled super human Motorola for 25% of the searching / texting / surfing needs . I don't hate it. But it's not the answer to every question. Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first

How does it not work for you as a phone as well as would a flip phone? I once thought as you did. Swore to the high heavens they'd pry my un-smart phone out of my cold, dead hands. Then I bought a smart phone and started using it. I now regularly use my smart phone for:
I also use it on occasion for reading e-books or watching TV when waiting for appointments or whatever. I occasionally use it for web browsing, but usually only to do price checks or look up product ratings for something I've spotted in a store. Wow! You mean they are actually in color now? Next, you'll tell me they no longer have "rabbit ears"? Now please tell me what happened to the "Ed Sullivan Show", and where can I get a good glass of "Tang" around here? LOL

And I'm stepping down to a flip phone this year, summer time. I've had some sort of "smart" phone for years, iPhones and now Samsung and I'm tired of them. I use no apps. Just text messaging, phone calls, occasional emails and web surfing (which I hate), and a little bit of documenting photos. Nothing else. My phones are loaded with music and I haven't listen to them in years. All of my vehicles have Garmin GPS units in case I need 'em. I don't belong to any social media. I just want a phone with good voice call quality, and texting. A casual, low tech camera will be fine. That's it. I truly hate looking at emails and the web on a phone, I mostly do this at my home office computer or portable tablet. So this new phone rang , I looked to see who would be calling, it told me this warning: Suspected spam caller ! read before answering, It was the I.R.S. calling and the want me to call them back as I have a warrant, but ! it was area code 272 ...? and no 1-800 # that was pretty cool I called the S.O and they told me that it was good that I called them and to disregard the call my flip phone never did that Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. I'm assuming S.O. is Sheriff's Office. If everyone called them ever time they got a spam call, the SPAM recipient callers become the problem. You're also going to keep getting calls from warranty, credit card and Nigerian prince opportunities. Probably not need to call someone else for every one of those...... well , I am ok with what the phone has to offer , I am getting by , fine ,just fine, still learning . But! I gotta say that they need to hire people over 40 y.o. to meet the customers in the stores, Age difference, is all I can attribute all the frustration and disappointment . that and my short comings with tech world. four times I have conversations with the "kids" at the U.S. Cellular store and every time it leads to confusion, disappointment and angst. all four times I settle down , collect the few wits I still have and call the tech support line. and all four times I get a way different response , than I got in the store they know what to do , how to do it and how to explain it to me , and I am pretty sure I am getting what I asked for. I even tried going to a different U s cellular store . I am seriously considering going back to the flip phone and getting a land line as well. I don't know. I didn't know anyone here worked at U.S. Cellular. It was explained to me today , that the people in the stores are their primarily for sales , and that they get frustrated when they have to solve problems for customers, they don't get any commission for making people happy , in the brick and mortar stores. plus all of the employee's can not keep up with the same info, throughout the whole company Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neither do I, bendable, but all the same model of phone works pretty much the same way on every carrier. In fact: Pretty much all smartphones work pretty much the same way on pretty much all the carriers. My wife and I have used HTC, Motorola, and Apple phones all on T-Mobile. They all worked pretty much the same way as one another. We've had our iPhones over in Europe, while on vacation, on T-Mobile's network over there. Worked just the same as they have on T-Mobile USA's network. We've roamed on AT&T's network here in the US. Same. We roamed in Canada with our Motorola Moto G phones. Same. For the most part: A smartphone is a smartphone is a smartphone and a cell network is a cell network is a cell network. Try your question(s) here. You may be surprised... one way or another "America is at that awkward stage. Seems they deleted the best part of flip phones. Their suppose to be stupid without all the GPS tracking capabilities. “We’re in a situation where we have put together, and you guys did it for our administration…President Obama’s administration before this. I admit I kind of miss the older flip phones. The newer phones are mini computers and it is amazing at what can be crammed into them for such a small package. I have had a smart phone for years now, only because I got hand me downs from my kids and they got the newer ones. I am still learning how to use mine. I remember the old "brick" phones and thought how cool they were for the time.

I hated flip phones. Always breaking, hard to hold under your chin without hands. Now the Nokia 5100... THAT was an awesome phone. I loved the single wonder button. Demand not that events should happen as you wish; but wish them to happen as they do happen, and you will go on well. -Epictetus
