The fuse is lit Chicago police fatally shot a neighborhood barber Saturday evening, igniting a protest near the scene in the city’s South Shore neighborhood, officials said. Officers on foot tried to question the man when the confrontation developed and he was shot, Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. Police said the man had been “exhibiting characteristics of an armed person.” A weapon was recovered at the scene, Guglielmi said, but he did not say whether the man was armed when he was shot at around 5:30 p.m. local time, Fox 32 Chicago reported. The man was thought to be in his 30s, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. He was pronounced dead at Jackson Park Hospital, a Chicago Fire spokesman said. No police officers were injured, Guglielmi said. Some people claimed a female officer shot the man at least five times in the back as he ran away, the newspaper reported. They said the officer was taken away from the scene in a police vehicle as a crowd of about 100 people formed. The size of the crowd created a tense situation, and police cordoned off the area. A brief scuffle broke out between chanting protesters and police officers holding batons. The Sun-Times reported that officers hit at least one man with a baton, while some protesters punched back and others threw glass bottles at officers. Police could also be seen taking several people into custody, the report said. The Chicago Tribune reported that a chaotic scene erupted as the crowd chanted “Murderers!” http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018...tally-shoot-man.html

Not going to happen. In their feeble minds, it's whitey or the Police at fault. Black on black crime is the growing cancer in their communities. ********* "Some people are alive today because it's against the law to kill them".

So true. It will always be the fault of whitey. Remember how the media coined the term "white Hispanic"? .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

Left-Handed, NOT Left-Winged! |
A few years ago on the south side of Chicago, the city closed a school with insufficient enrollment and consolidated the kids into another school. Simple administrative decision, right? Except the change required kids from one "territory" to cross over into another "territory", which resulted in significant increase in gang-related violence. So the people protested the "racist" city for forcing the kids from the one territory to cross over into the other territory and demanded that the closed school be reopened to "save our kids". Of course it was completely lost on them that the city has nothing to do with where gang territory lines are drawn, or which kids belong to which gang, and that the responsibility for this problem lies solely on the PARENTS of the kids who are in gangs and committing violence. The kids are responsible for their actions of course, but responsibility and lawfulness begins in the home.

Wouldn't it be easier to just wall the south and west sides off from the rest of Chicago? Give the police hating people what they want: no police. Let them solve their own problems. Let the animals kill each other. _____________

People who claim to have known the guy said he had a Concealed Carry Permit. Police deny, news reports unconfirmable, usual confusion, but if he did have a permit, that could change things. -------------------------- Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. -- H L Mencken I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is. -- JALLEN 10/18/18

It would, but... Having a Michigan CPL, I'd be inclined to be doubly careful of my movements around police officers during a stop of any kind and the first words out of my mouth, as soon as possible, would be "I have a Michigan CPL and I'm carrying. What do you want me to do?" Anything other than that as asking to get shot, IMO. "America is at that awkward stage.
