There's only 1 possible outcome from defunding the police and we should encourage the Blue States to follow through with it.

They're reaping what they've sowed. Their policies and ideology is flawed, now it's a raw wound.

As you pointed out, Blue controls many of the elected positions, for a lot of these cities, at least 50-years of uninterrupted 'rule'. They've pandered to various unions for their votes/support, those gov service unions continued to get increased compensation, vacation and various other benefits for their members meanwhile the city coffers were squeezed dry. Social engineering policies were injected into all gov positions, resulting in subpar performance and lackadaisical attitudes. Good enough, and looking right, are more important than doing it right.

Mogadishu tried this. Granted, their roadmap to that end was different, but the outcome here would pretty much look the same.

Good, let them all burn.
